Wat Pho is one of Bangkok's oldest temple complexes and the birthplace of Thai massage. The temple is known for its enormous statue of the reclining Buddha, which spans 15 meters tall and 46 meters long. The 8-hectare compound also has a sacred bodhi tree, 95 chedis, over 1,000 statues, and two pavilions where visitors can enjoy traditional Thai massages. As in other temples in Thailand, visitors must be dressed properly within the complex.
