Advantages: Compared to other public transportation, angkot in Ambon has affordable prices. It doesn't matter if you're traveling a short or long distance, the fare remains the same, which is IDR 6,500 for a one-way trip.
Routes: The many angkots scattered throughout Ambon make it easy to find them. Each has a specific route and you can visit many places at once.

4. Bemo

What is a bemo? Another cheap and easy-to-find public transportation option is the bemo which is similar to angkot. The bemo's striking color, yellow or green, makes it easily recognizable.
Advantages: Similar to angkot, bemo also has its own designated route, which you can find displayed on the window of the vehicle. By taking a bemo, you can explore every corner of Ambon and interact with the locals.
Fares: The bemo fare that you need to pay starts from IDR 3,000 for one way only. So it's better to ask the driver for the exact fare by mentioning the destination.

5. Pedicab

Ports: To travel between islands, you can take a ferry from either Slamet Riyadi Port or Gudang Arang Port. Additionally, when you use public buses or DAMRI services, you may also be transported by ferry to cross the island.
