We stayed in the Ava room which was lovely and looked exactly as in the pictures (seen a lot of reviews saying the rooms were dated). The housekeeping staff were also really thorough and the hotel always very clean.
The pool was nice but could do with some extra comfortable areas to relax in the shade.
Although the food in the restaurant was fine, as other people state the service is extremely slow at night.
We found the staff generally to be fairly indifferent - not rude as other reviews state but not as helpful as you might expect of a 4 star hotel!

Rooms are really stunning but the service was pretty poor. Nobody came over when it turned out that our key cards were not properly programmed for the doors (20 minute hike to reception and back), the breakfast is ok-ish as is the restaurant.
However, eating here is as expensive as a meal tab the best restaurant in town.

Beautiful lodge in the jungle. We could hear birds and were tucked between trees. They had a very nice room with a jacuzzi tub and great service.

Fantastic hotel! The staff is incredibly friendly, the rooms are spotless, and they even offer a shower option after check-out before your flight.

Don't be confused about this beautiful place!! I think its on its way to be a fancy place as they are rebuilding and remodeling with style!! If you get one of the new apartments. Numbers 600 above I think. They are brand new and modern! Huge with very tasteful modern decor. Views of the jungle are so pretty! My tub could see right into the jungle! I did not stay in older cottages so not sure on them but the new ones are the way to go!! Reception is old and dated but no big deal. Service i found really nice with a smile! They use What's app to communicate and answer questions so its easy and handy. Pool is nice, not fancy. They have very affordable massages. Breakfast room/dining room is done pretty and tasteful. Must taxi about 7 to 10 minutes into town. I would stay agian!
