Staff were very welcoming and accommodating, complimentary welcome bubbles on arrival, and we were treated to a surprise cheese board in our room upon return later that night. Room was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay.

We were offered an upgrade on arrival that was not an upgrade at all. A larger room but with one less bed. The sofa bed was not good at all. Saggy.
The hotel is showing its age.
In addition the room we were given was one of those that has an adjoining door to a nearby suite. However the walls were paper thin and there was a very loud family fighting for hours next door.
It was an unbearable stay.
The hotel does not deserve its current star rating.

A great experience from check-in to check-out! Bubbles and hot chocolate offered on arrival and the pool/spa/sauna was a real stand out for both the adults and the child staying at Marriott for our visit. There were lots of little 'special touches' that showed that there as effort being taken.

Check in was excellent. We were welcomed with a hot chocolate for the children and glass of sparkling wine for the adults, which was a lovely surprise after a day of walking around the city. We had a couple of hiccups with the tv not working and less towels provided than guests booked in. Francis, the concierge, went above and beyond to address these matters and convince us that it was his priority for us to enjoy our stay. Thank you Francis.
