Strathfield Hotel

Beds and shared bathroom nice and clean. Perfect for a very cheap night passing through the area. Great for what you pay and met my expectations.

Fair to say that the accomodation is dated and tired. The premises are adequatley clean however the rooms are above a bar and the hotel is opposite a railway station so some noise from the street below.

Reasonable condition pub accommodation. My room had toilet/basin ensuite which was a bonus as rooms are shared facilities. Shared hot shower standing in a bath was fine. Good linen and towels and toiletries. Near excellent transport hub; Strathfield station.

The location was convenient in terms of transport. However, because of the shared bathroom facilities there have been problems with invasion of privacy from other guests.

If you just need somewhere to spend the night and don't need a desk or a private bathroom or anything much else, then this basic accommodation right opposite a busy railway junction might be all you need. Friendly folks.

Photos on website looks to have been edited, the walls were dirty and had red stains. There’s a shared toilet for some rooms but the one on the website is only the private bathroom. The wallpaper in the toilet was ripping off and when arrived the tap in the shower was broken but that was fixed fast. You could still see the dust on the skirting boards and on the walls as well. The bedsheets also had holes. There was a tv but no where to plug it in and tea and coffee were provided. The staff were good and a good location for public transport.

Staff are good but Unfortunately Something bad smells from the carpet, I got bed bugs at night, People had big argument outside my bedroom after midnight and even couldn't go thought the shared toilet…

Good travel hub for my stay. Glad it wasn't summer no aircon only fan provided, no window, only door to common balcony which would be a security risk if left open.

The bathrooms were shared with the floor and dirty. There was a door to a shared balcony that didn't look so i had to bar it to make sure it wouldn't open. There was no air conditioning. There were no curtains so it was light all night. The facilities were old and run down. There was no parking. All in all you would be much better off staying at a hostel.

This is the most terrible hotel that I have been staying. I stayed in a hostel in Sydney a month ago. In terms of cleanliness and service, hostel is way much better than this hotel. a. Check-in I advised that was my first time for me to stay in this hotel. It was a clear message that I know nothing about the hotel. Once I checked-in the counter, the service staff did not have any intention to show me the way to the right building for my stay. Rather, she asked "Do you know the way to get in the room". It is obvious that they have no intention to give you service. 2. High insecurity the door frame in the room is broken. 3. Electrical socket there is only one socket available. If you want to use the fan in the hot weather, it means that you cannot charge your phone 4. Cupboard There is a cupboard right next to the bed as you can see in the picture. The mirror is gone and the surface of the cupboard is sticky and dirty. 5. Shared bathroom and toilet Only 1 toilet for around 6 guest rooms and the lid is broken with flushing problem. The shower room is dirty with cracks. No shower curtain and the entire bathroom floor is wet led to slippery floor. 6. No lights along the corridor It is dark when you walk along the corridor. It looks like a haunted house. 7. Noisy The door frames are broken. Other guests had to slam the doors to close them probably. You would probably be waken up all night if the other guests come and go between room and toilet.

I had a very basic room with a door that would not open unless u used force to open and close it. This room also had 2 other doors that led into other rooms, but they were locked. In the room I there was a single bed, chair, table and night stand. This room also had 1 door that led to a balcony. This door was very unsecured , if u fell on the door it wood open. This motel needs a paint and needs all doors and hinges to be replaced or repaired.

Everything was ok given the price, but they have really let this hotel go. Perhaps someone can spend some money and improve it for future patrons.

Property is not well maintained and charges are very high as per services provided. Room service is not available as there is no phone in room.
