Hotel Mercure Wien Westbahnhof

Just come back staying in this hotel, you get what you pay for tbh. It’s so great for tube, train and tram and main reason I choose it. Staff are great, clean & for a city break ideal. There are some draw backs, the lift motor you can hear in my room, I asked to move to a room at the edge of hotel and this really helped walls are quiet thin so at times can be noisy. I had a superior room and had to unplug lamps as nowhere to charge phones etc so more plug sockets are needed. Room needs updating but ok beds are comfy. We didn’t have breakfast felt 24 euros way to high as you can go into centre and get cheaper breakfast. So all in all great hotel with a few draw backs but every hotel has some issues with some people. Hop this helps.

Convenient location, great transport links to all attractions. Hotel was pleasant with helpful staff. We would happily stay here again for a short weekend break.

Fantastic

Check in was a nightmare. Only one person on duty who looked fairly junior and only had one speed even with several parties waiting. Property could do with a good lick of paint and general refurbishment. It looked and felt very dated.

Bathroom was tiny and cramped. No in room coffee making facilities. Beds very small.

Excellent location. Great value for money. Only downside is that room needed airing on arrival as smelt of smoke.

very good location right next to the old Westbahnhof (railway station). Great access to subway, street cars (tram), and busses. Excellent (!) breakfast - best if you come early. A place I can recommend.

Very clean, small rooms. Only use it to sleep one night. Convenient pick up spot for transfers

The room was very small and there was no space to put a suitcase and hand luggage.

Good breakfast buffet The only thing i have an issue is the air conditioner does not function as cold as we wanted .The temperature is set at 20 degrees but the setting could not be adjusted.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel

The room had no Airconditioning, in a very hot weather. The room should clearly state whether it has A/C otr not. For a 4 start hotel that was VERY DISAPOINTING!!!!!!! I WOULD NEVER COME BACK NOR RECOMEND IT.

I was particularly impressed by the outstanding breakfasts provided.

The room had no mini refrigerator. The reception told us that its wrong information on expedia. It was very hot days and we where unable to bay any food. The beds were awful The cleaning staff didn't change dirty towels until we asked them Thus experience is not 4 star hotel experience.

Conveniently located hotel, clean and comfortable room, and very friendly and helpful concierge/front desk staff.

Really happy I chose this place. Everyone was very kind and helpful. It's actually a really nice place. Staff was great. Has a nice little bar. Will try to stay here again next time I'm in Vienna.
