Mercure Liege City Centre

It really is a beautiful hotel to stay in. Rooms were immaculate, bed comfortable and my sleep was as good as I could have wanted, slept solid. The breakfast selection is a buffet breakfast with both cooked and continental choices, everything from bacon and eggs to meats and cheeses, all breads, fruits, cereal, waffles and pancakes, toast, so so much choice and amazing quality. Location is great, it is on the fringe of the city centre so easily accessible for the main roads and motorways to both Germany and Holland and just a .7 mile walk to the bars and restaurants in the centre. Only downside was the restaurant menu, it doesn't offer ligh bites or snacks etc....after a long day travelling all we wanted was something small and light but they couldn't cater for us. The bar isn't open on a Sunday or Monday so remember that.

Lovely hotel with a beautiful little bar and gorgeous restaurant. Staff were so friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were clean and a good size.

Booked a nice family room, plenty of space for 2 adults with one kid. Staff is nice and friendly and well-knowing of local restaurants and sightseeings. Food is good, though the restaurant is a little pricey compared to other restaurants in the vicinity. The location can be tricky to find, doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you get through the gate, it's a nice little pearl.

The hotel in shared areas is beautiful, however some rooms are not well kept. The beds are not double beds, they are two single beds pushed together, despite having asked this in advance and having had this confirmed.. Furthermore the beds are uncomfortable and the pillows either super hard or super lumpy.. You will not get a good nights sleep here.. Breakfast opens at 06:30hrs, however if you are there at this time, despite the restaurant being open, only 50% of the breakfast is ready.. Which is a real shame..

Rusty room, lights and usb plugs not working, soap and shampoo bottles were empty but the staff could not replace them because of some key issue… Breakfast is ok in a beautiful old building
