Overall not a bad hotel - but wouldn’t stay again.
Pros :
-Relatively close walking distance to most tourist attractions and restaurants.
-Updated rooms
Cons :
-If you like ice showers this is the place for you! After roughly 15-20 minutes of running the water fully on the hottest setting possible, we got just enough to call it warm bath water on the 4 attempts to get hot water.
-Parking = not located directly under the hotel, down a VERY tight alleyway and below another building. We have a 2024 Outlander and it’s not much of a height difference to a CRV or RAV4, and we just barely made it into the parking garage after being told we’d fit no problem. My S/O had to get out and watch every turn we made in the tight garage. $25 PER day charge too!
-Towels are also sandpaper.
If you want a cheap(ish) hotel in downtown Ottawa and don’t have to park an suv, enjoy cold showers, this might be the spot for you!

The hotel itself was clean, and I had a great overall experience. However, the restaurant/lounge left much to be desired. After a flight, I stopped in for lunch and noticed only one other customer there. He mentioned he hadn’t seen the bartender in a while. I ended up waiting about 15 minutes before anyone came by to check on him or acknowledge me. When I finally ordered, the food was overpriced and mediocre, and the service was disappointing.

The location is great, right downtown, but the hotel room is simply inadequate. There was no hot water 2-3 times. I was all ready for a nice bath after a long day of travelling, and there was no hot water! But other times, there was.
Plus, the TV is an absolute fail. You have to aim the remote right at the bottom-right of the screen, or it won't work. It got annoying trying to aim the remote all the time! Then, the tv would lose its signal. Geese. It's hard to believe they do business like this. But the location is right downtown, which is why I chose it, so I guess that's why.

The tv didn't work the entire stay even though I let the front desk know and when I checked in I told the woman at the desk I literally almost got into a car accident 30 seconds before coming into the hotel and the woman wasn't even listening and said "that's nice!"

We stayed in a family room for 2 nights (2 adults, 2 children).
Pros:
- Reasonable price
- Clean room
Cons:
- Very small room, highly uncomfortable for a family of 4
- Lighting is unpleasant and too bright, feels like fluorencent lights
- Hot water takes 5-7 minutes to flow in the shower
- No crib provided despite requesting it at online check-in
- No ramp or automatic door, we needed to pick up the stroller to go up the stairs.
- No family-friendly amenities such as a microwave oven in the room
- Bathroom door badly adjusted and making noise upon opening and closing (waking up baby)
Overall a pretty poor experience, we do not recommend for traveling with kids

As soon as we got there, we were greeted by a very nice worker there. I needed information on where to park my car, this gentleman got out of his way to guide us to the parking area. He also took our car information and was already at the front desk. I did not get his name. We felt very welcome there. We will be booking again and I’m referring this hotel to our friends and family.

the hotel staff was amazing, but the bar had no drink avalaible. otdered 5 different drink and they were out. and the server did not have her priority asked for the bill waited 20 minutes to get the bill. we were 3 tables in the bar. this was last saturfay
