Banff Rocky Mountain Resort

Our stay in a 2 bedroom Wolf room was fantastic. The room was clean and well equipped, with plenty of space for our family to relax. It is just a short drive down into Banff townsite, and after many years of vacationing in Banff once or twice a year this is the place we will continue to come back to.

good value for what you pay.. could use a renovation.. was offered an upgrade to renovated suite for extra money but didn't bother for just one night.. cleaning isn't meticulous but overall I'd stay again because it's good value for the accommodation you get and free shuttle to downtown several times a day if you don't feel like paying for parking

Watch for MICE!! Could never have anticipated spending our girls' trips running away from mice in our hotel room. We were awoken at 5am by rustling noises. Upon further investigation, we found a mouse in our bathroom garbage, which we promptly trapped and immediately called the front desk for assistance. The young man who answered was unphased by our situation and informed us that we would have to wait until 7 or 730 for someone to come clean our room, or we could remove it ourselves. After waiting until after 730, we called the front desk again, only to be told that someone wouldn't be available until 8 am. While on the phone with them, ANOTHER mouse ran across the bedroom floor. It was at this point that we decided it was not possible for us to continue staying in this room. The front desk did offer us a new room. However, their complete lack of concern over the situation is baffling. I was told that since we are in a national park, it is to be expected that the hotel has mice. I have stayed in MANY hotels in Banff and never had a mouse as a roommate, let alone 2. Maybe the management team can connect with other local hotels for tips on how to keep the hotel hygienic and rodent free for their guests.

Nice and quiet

The place was great, one evening a heard of elk came right up to our living room window. One big negative was the barbecues are terrible. There was 3 that were for us to use. All of which didn’t work properly at all. The only half of the burners lit.

It’s not that bad but the floors were pretty dirty but overall it’s really cozy and nice might come back.👍 Also the pool was dirty and the water was pretttyyy cold but I liked the hot tub.

It was good close to Banff town but property scattered different sections like for pool and hot tub is in the main building so not convinient to access it or they should have pool and hot tub for alll individual buildings

Very neat rooms, everything was to standard

we liked everything but there were not enough bathrobes and disposable shoes. since we didn't bring them with us, but wanted to go to the pool, it wasn't very convenient. we went to the reception to buy them but there was no such service. I advise you to add them to the paid services if someone needs them

Great service and access to Banff.

Found some of the amenities in poor condition: Hot tub water was terrible Door wouldn’t closed properly Need a new toaster Sink spout was about to break No daily cleaning unless requested Coffee machine was weirdly crooked Shuttle driver was great with good suggestions Fireplace worked well Checking in and out was good

loved the “cabin feel”

We had a great stay at Banff Rocky Mountain Resort despite a good dose of apprehension given some of the negative -- very negative -- on this site. Our unit was clean, comfortable and a great for a family of 3. It is possible that our unit had been renovated and thats why some of the comments don't line up with reality. The free shuttle into downtown Banff is very good and the amenities are at par with other, pricier hotels. A great stay overall.

Very clean and modern. Enjoyed our family pet friendly stay.

Staff were great room was clean but had to call for frying pan but they had not and a lifter they did bring . Wood for fire place there is a charge . Room was cool even though we put the thermostat up to 30 in the night . Good thing is they take pet so good on them! Didnt bring one this time but have other times

Great little resort away from the downtown

Nice resort on the outskirts of Banff. We enjoyed the space and the wood fireplace.
