Never go there again

Its never a good sign when your hotel has all the facing removed and the cladding is exposed for renos. Total overhaul in progress - NOT mentioned anywhere before booking. NOT ACCEPTABLE sales practice. No hot water in my room - they said it would be fixed day 1 and was not working on day 2. The breakfast literally made me sick. I threw up the egg surprise they called breakfast 2 hours after eating it. I would say avoid this place like the plague. It's sad because I have been coming here for a very long time and it's just a mess. Oh, and the parking lot is gone during renos. I feel totally ripped off.

Horrible experience. Avoid the hotel much as you can. Hopefully management/ownership changes. I forgot my laptop charger in the room. When I called to ask for it front desk was not concerned. I went back and the guy running front desk couldn’t be bothered. Pictures are very deceptive. Worst experience as a client.

Please read prior negative reviews for this hotel, they are valid. We booked an upper floor suite (which was never truly available to begin with, as found out due to ongoing construction). Booked the suite, received an email directly from the hotel mentioning some SERVICES may not be available due to the construction, nothing about room availibility. A double queen room was provided when checking in, I asked for a refund of the difference between the two rooms, no consideration was given. I was told to speak with the manager in the morning to discuss the issue. No consideration once again was given. Hotels.com provided a coupon for the difference in price, as a refund. This was to my satisfaction, and was no thanks at all to Country Inn and Suites (no suites, sorry!). The hotel is regularly doing this bait and switch with rooms during construction, as revealed by previous reviews. Construction workers are also consuming many rooms in the hotel, maybe even the suites! Poor hotel, poor customer service. Not to mention all-wood construction revealing all of the noise from everywhere in the hotel. Even when construction is complete, this will be a noisy hotel, and the customer service will still be in need of a complete renovation. Get bent, Country Inn and Suites, King Edward St. Winnipeg.

The carpet is filthy. The bathroom sink is filthy. There’s fingernail paintings on the TV stand. Very dated furniture soiled furniture paint chips off the walls. Looks like faeces in the corner complain to the front desk and she said there’s no other rooms available. She’s sorry we can talk to the supervisor in the morning for a Radisson Expedia hotel this is unacceptable.

The room is filthy, the hotel is under construction and the room we were given has not been renovated! I have a number of pics to share as to the condition of the room, absolutely disgusted!

The property is under construction. The work started really early on our first morning but after I gave them the feedback, it got better. The room is really not sound proof. I was woke up in the middle of the night by some happy noise next room connected to our room. I could clearly hear the movement and conversation of the people making the movement.

The Wi-Fi in our room was awful. Also, the heater unit blows directly onto the person who sleeps closest to the window (We were in a renovated room).. Made for a very rough sleep as it is just an inch away from that side of the bed. Breakfast options were good and the room was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was great.

There weee two woman swearing and screaming in the lobby. Little was done to deescalate it. The elevator and hallway were dirty. The breakfast was very good.

Very clean - newly renovated - big TV - and amazingly comfortable bed! Close to the airport - can’t beat the location.
