Drake Devonshire and Motor Inn

We had dinner here 3 weeks ago. The reserved table we had was given to another couple. Things happen. The hostess was very pleasant. The waiter who served us was efficient but gave us the bare minimum of customer service pleasantries. The Caesar salad was excellent! My fish and chips were pretty good but heavy on the batter, which easily fell off the fish. I could not finish it. The restaurant is supposed to be higher end, but the atmosphere was strange. A TV at the bar keep on playing a weird video, which my wife had in front of her throughout dinner. There was a mismatched variety of 3 different chair types and colours around the tables. No big deal, but it seemed strange to sloppy compared to the menu prices. In the summer, it would be a spectacular spot to eat overlooking the lake. The parking lot was a mucky mess to walk through with pretty much no gravel. I'd love to come again in the summer and eat on their deck.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Drake Devonshire Hotel for my very first company meeting, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The rooms are wonderfully eclectic and full of character, making each space unique and enjoyable. The location is perfect, adding to the overall charm of the stay. We used the Glass Box room for our conference throughout the day, and it was the ideal choice—bright, airy, and conducive to productivity. A special shout-out to Sam, the reservations coordinator, who truly went above and beyond. Her exceptional communication and attentiveness made the entire process seamless. She catered to every need, took care of every detail, and even made special arrangements for our dog, which was incredibly thoughtful and appreciated. Overall, The Drake Devonshire Hotel provided a fantastic backdrop for our meeting, blending style, and top-notch service. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning in the future!

I did not stay here but I came for dinner. I had the charred octopus and the jalapeno cornbread. Both were phenomenal. The ingredients were high-quality and just phenomenal food. My friend had the veggie burger but he wasn't too excited about it. The views from the patio onto the lake are amazing.

We came on a weekend for brunch. The location was great and the view was stunning! I ordered the big salad and it was delicious. Ingredients were fresh, the dress was plenty and everything was delicious. The only downside was how slow service was. Our server didnt come back to check in on us, tea we ordered was served warm and not hot, and other tables that got seated later than us somehow got their meals first. Not a fan of the service team but the meal was great!

I was so excited to eat here, as I have heard endlessly about the Drake from everyone who visits PEC. It did not disappoint! You truly can’t beat the patio views. It’s a beautiful spot to enjoy a sunny brunch by the water. The undisputed highlight of our brunch was the warm blueberry scones to share, DO NOT SKIP THESE!! The service staff were definitely busy, but they were very accommodating when we needed to move to the dining room thanks to some really persistent wasps. The eggs benny was just fine, I enjoyed it much more with some hot sauce. I still highly recommend a stop here for brunch. I repeat, order the blueberry scones!
