Hotel Victoria

This was my second time staying at the Hotel Victoria, and it was quite nice. The decor of the place is lovely, and the bar service and menu are great. I did have some key irritants: - No mini fridge was available in my room - the TV randomly turned on way early in the morning and I couldn't turn it back off (thankfully there wasn't any sound - just a screensaver thing) - when booking the room, it wasn't made clear that I'd only have access to a shower stall, and not a tub - the mattress was REALLY firm; I didn't mind it, but it was an adjustment - there is a constant fan going in the room that can be quite obnoxious; this was more of issue the last time I stayed when the issue was the a/c was auto shutting on and off, making really hard to "get used to" the noise when falling asleep Now: I raise these things because frankly, everything else is really great about this place. The location can't be beat, the price is fantastic, and the staff are attentive. But, if those things I listed would irk you, then you at least have the heads up.

Room was great. Big and spacious. Only complaint was that the heater in the bathroom didn’t work.

The room we stayed in was the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in! The hotel room inself self was a converted broom closest and it looked like a room that would be rented by the hour!! Everything was painted over with paint drips over all the edges. Light fixtures were hanging off, loose and looked like remnants purchased from a junk store. The windows were screwed shut with a heavy rusted bolt. The TV on the wall did not work and had some sort of “tv sensor” contraption taped to it that looked like a small camera pointing on the bed ??? The door handle on the bathroom was attached backwards. The shower curtain was hanging attached upside down ready to fall down if you were to touch it. Just to name a few things!!!!

Great art-deco-y space for 2 right downtown at a good price. Really friendly service.

Tha rooms are very small, no closets, fridge or safe... pillows and bed are good, but the price is still high for the room and amenities in the room.

The staff were excellent, brought our food to our room. Unfortunately the food was cold and did not taste very good, and our room did not have a mini fridge.

Rooms were small, and included necessities only (bed, bathroom) but when you’re staying here the intent is not to stay in your room. Location was great, property was clean, and overall, had a good stay.

Excellent value. Nice room, so close to Union Station and very low price.

The staff was very nice. The man came up to fix the tv that wasnt working and checked the heating unit. My only gripe is the beds. The mattresses were too hard where we tossed and turned all night.

The curated art at this hotel is top notch.

The frontline staff are excellent and profession. If I travel to Toronto again, I’ll book again.

Staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The lobby was very comfortable and clean, same as the room. The other people staying were also very quiet.

I loved the history behind the hotel. I loved having expresso there
