From the time we made the call for a short notice reservation to the moment we checked out and continued with our road trip the hotel staff were very accommodating. We managed to get the last room available. Check in was very smooth and the layout was exactly what we needed. We'll definitely be making early reservations to stay here on our annual trip to the coast. Highly recommend.

The rooms have kitchenettes, and we got a one bedroom suite with a room in the main area and another in a separate room. All rooms are pet friendly, and there was a $20 charge for it on top of what I paid on Hotwire. Everything is basic, but great. The bedding is kinda old school, but they could probably charge a lot more for the rooms, so I'll let that slide. 😉

The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is well-equipped with utensils. Our stay would have been wonderful if not for the loud vibrating noise from the air conditioner. I am not sure if this aircon issue is in all rooms, but it was definitely a problem in the room assigned to us.

We chose this place specifically because they had laundry. I washed sheets in the washer guests use (and pay $20 for) and staff had washed cleaning rags & mop heads in bleach the previous wash. There must have still been SO much bleach in the washer because it totally ruined our sheets which were only a few months old. Staff did not care and said they didn’t use bleach and not their fault. I run a business and would absolutely cover someone’s cost if something was damaged by my staff.
They refunded my $20, so at least my laundry was ruined for free.

Thank you very much to the manager (and staff), I had to book into one of their rooms (last one available) after my car broke down on the highway just outside of Merritt. I had to wait the next day for a ride and they were nice enough to leave my room until last to clean, and allow me to stay a little past the check out time to stay inside and enjoy the A/C and out of the heat.
