Prairie Moon Inn Sylvan Lake

The front desk girls were all really nice. We had some very excited kids looking at the pool through the windows and they handled their loud excitement well. It’s a pretty standard hotel. Breakfast isn’t hot it’s a cereal and toast kind of place. The location is a bit inconvenient if you’re only able to walk in that area but it’s fine if you have a vehicle or taxi.

It was very loud after 10pm with kids running the halls and drugs being smoked in the hallway in the middle of the night

Very clean and quiet hotel, pool is decent size and clean. Breakfast was served promptly, fully refilled every now and then so there's plenty of food for everyone. Sylvan Lake is a beautiful place to stay, short distance to the lake makes for lovely evening walks.

Pool was always clean, great service.

Big pool with waterslide. Parking is not all that great. Most of the available parking is at the back end of the hotel.

Nice and clean and good value.

Pleasantly surprised at the layout of the room. There was a love seat that became a double bed and a chair. A wall separated the sitting area from the "bedroom" area which had a king bed. The bed was firm but comfortable. The room had a good size fridge, microwave, coffee maker (pods only), and blow dryer. Everything was clean. Good pressure in the shower, but the fan left a lot to be desired. The pool and hot tub were great. Good sized pool with a tunnel slide my son loved! The pool towels were thin and tiny but the pool area was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast included scrambled eggs and sausages and your typical toast, oatmeal, pastries, cereal, and it had 2 waffle makers. Overall enjoyable stay for my family. Our stay was from Saturday to Monday PROS: 1. Nice clean room 2. Comfortable sleeping arrangements 3. Pool area CONS: 1. Bathroom fan worked poorly 2. Hot breakfast was only available on Sunday. I booked this hotel specifically because of the pool and breakfast so I was disappointed. Would like to see clarification on website that "hot" breakfast only on weekends. 3. No gluten free replacement options ie. Bread, cereal, etc. (but I didn't really expect it).

Was fine but meh!

My experience at this hotel could have been better. Upon arrival, I had to phone the reception to check in, as no one was available at the desk. Once inside the room, I noticed a strong fecal odor coming from the washroom, and there was a dirty stain on the toilet seat. While I could have requested a room change, I chose not to bother. Later that evening, as my family and I headed to our car in the parking lot, we were greeted by an unpleasant and overwhelming smell of urine. Despite the enjoyable continental breakfast, a nice swimming pool, and a relaxing hot tub, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone with a sensitive sense of smell. If cleanliness is a priority for you, this may not be the right place to stay. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

The pool is very nice. enjoyed a morning swim before checking out. Good breakfast. Not sure about that coffee maker in the room - not user friendly. However, tea and coffee available downstairs in the lobby so not an issue.

It’s definitely one of the better hotels in Sylvan Lake. Most of them are old, dirty, and rundown. This was a A pleasant surprise.
