Ok so we were hesitant about staying here cause of the reviews but regardless about what anyone says it's CLEAN. The rooms are comfy clean that's all that matters. Been to penticton many times before stayed at other mother pricer hotels but booked this last min. And not disappointed. Yes there Reno's going on yes maybe not downtown ok maybe the railings are getting replaced but clean and quiet. So no complaints.

No cold water from the sink for drinking, water was also cloudy. Bugs in bathtub and sink, hair and bugs clogging drain for the tub, and no hot water. Blinds didn’t go all the way down, half the electrical sockets did not work. Stay away from this place.

No pool, pool in not under renovation has been filled in, some stairs look unsafe, TV kept shutting down every 15 min and restarting. Wires kinda mickey mouse. Stop work notice posted on office door.

This property was under construction and the pool is filled In with cement and is located next to a safe injection site. There are homeless and addicts staying on site. To top it off our room had holes in the walls. Didn’t even spend the night because we felt unsafe. Terrible experience with Expedia and the super 8

This property is being updated. It's clear the property was a run down old motel. In my room the lamps didn't work, there was no hot water, the fridge didn't work. There is no pool as sometimes advertised and no free breakfast also as advertised. The surrounding area is not great. I wouldn't want to bring kids near here. I saw one guy shooting up and two guys smoking crack or meth (not sure which)

Building under renovations with a stop work order. Pool has been filled in. Room smelled, carpet was dirty, stained and had holes in it. Couch was dirty, stained and had holes. Probably the worst place I’ve ever stayed, wouldn’t recommend.

I wasnt expecting the hotel to be under construction. Or the pool to be filled in. These things should have been disclosed to me prior to booking. My room smelled awful. The bed sheets were dirty and smelled so much of bleach it was hard to sleep. The toilet had a huge crack on the lid. Paint marks all over the floor. It was just all in all an awful experience.

This property is not in an acceptable or safe state for travelling public to overnight. The owners ought to be very clear about this. The staff person did their best and offered refund. Likely has not city approvalThed

If you have other options for hotels then don’t pick this. We’re not fancy and knew this was a budget motel. It was also the last room available in Penticton.
However… they are in the midst of renovations and the facility is not up to par. The renovations, upon closer inspection in the rooms look like a handyman special at best. The rooms smell like ethnic food. There is old dirty furniture in the room that smell like cigarettes. Painters tape still on fixtures. The exterior stairs to the upper level are super sketchy. The (old) pool is completely gravelled over so don’t let the photos deceive you that there is a pool available. The lobby reception is newly drywalled and torn apart so there is just one tiny desk to the right as you check in. As we were departing we noticed a stop work order posted outside. Not surprised.
All in all it was okay but way over priced for what it is. This place should be under $100 until it’s brought up to reasonable accommodation standards.
