I had a great stay here. My room was perfect. I had read reviews on this place after I booked, and got nervous. The negative reviews couldn't be more wrong. Honestly, glad I didn't listen to them! Staff is super friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff helpful- room had a few issues- remote on tv broken- required manual on/off ; lamp on desk wire had to be wiggled to stay on, some mold on caulking around tub tap. Generally clean .

The hallway carpets were visibly dirty (black) and the washrooms need updating or at least new lighting and a paint job. The hotel just looked very dingy, although the hotel staff were nice.

Lower than a 1-star. Horrific, overpowering for of mould, decay, and dampness. So bad we could not stay beyond one night.
Hotel is run down, stains, splatters on walls. Wallpaper patches, falling paint chips. Generational layers of dirt. TV needed 2 remotes, no list of channels…most channels did not work.
Holes in our towels and facecloths not properly washed…stained.

It was dog friendly. Beds were comfortable. Strange repair to toilet paper holder. Grounds toward lake needed a clean up. No recycling bins in room.

Loved the price. The staff was so nice. Lovely people. I understand that it is an old property, but the area by the gazebo by the water was dirty. The kitchen faucet was not attached to the counter. The Marigolds were over grown and not one cleaned the breakfast area, countertops etc.

All was great, I just think you need to add extra tables to your breakfast area on busy days, we had to wait 26 minutes for a table.
