We rented the panoramic townhome, it was lovely! It’s 2 floors right on street level which was great! 3 full bathrooms, 2 queen beds, 4 double beds, living room upstairs and a kitchen on the main floor. It had everything we needed. Keep in mind this is not a hotel, it’s an air b&b so the check in process is different. The parking was a little annoying, our spot was taken so we parked in the spot beside the one we were assigned and got a ticket so don’t do that but other than that it was a lovely stay and the townhome was great for our family, we would absolutely stay again!

Property was okay.. some reviews made me nervous however the stay was not as bad as I anticipated. TV didn’t work, one light fixture didn’t work, and I payed for 2 beds and a pull out couch but the couch did not pull out whatsoever, aside from that the place was decently clean and easy to get into. Overall I’d recommend if the stay is affordable but definitely would not pay an excess amount for a sub-par apartment.

Communication horrible. Booked panoramic view condo on IceBoat Terrace. Gave instructions for a townhouse type property near Iceboat Terr. It was late at night. Dirty towels in tub, 3 huge bags of garbage left out, an unmade bed like someone slept in it. Just terrible. I had booked this for an out of town client. Disgusted. The owners refused to compensate based on this because I booked a ‘non-refundable’ rate. No apology from them. They ask for a copy of your photo ID, perhaps they give the property based on your race. They likely already booked the Iceboat property on another platform but didn’t update Expedia.

Did not stay here as the host called age yet booking was confirmed through Expedia and said it wasn’t available for the dates I booked. I was then told to contact Expedia for a refund. However, Expedia doesn’t return messages and loop continues with no refund yet. I will not use Expedia ever again for booking. There is always a problem.

Do not book this property! The person/group who runs it, Arshad Ameen Malik, will demand a $450 security deposit be e-transferred to them before they release the check-in information. It has been 2 weeks, with over 30 text messages and 15 phone calls, and I still have not received it back. Expedia should be ashamed to be in business with these crooks. *Edit - I called Expedia and they were able to get ahold of this "company" and facilitate my refund. Thanks Expedia! I should note that the "company" did withhold $20 for "processing fees", so they are still a bunch of crooks!

I am extremely frustrated with our stay at Waterfront Boutique Suites from November 14–17, 2024. We booked the "Panoramic Room," advertised as a premium 3-bedroom suite for up to 12 guests, but instead received a worn-out 2-bedroom condo with only two beds and one working shower—forcing two of us to sleep on a couch. Thank goodness we didn’t have 12 guests! Communication was a disaster. Despite confirming details weeks in advance, we only received check-in info after arriving in Toronto. They demanded a $450 security deposit via e-transfer with no clear terms. As soon as we paid, the check-in details were sent. After 27 phone calls and disputes, the deposit was returned only after threatening legal action. We paid for early check-in, but the room wasn’t ready until standard check-in time. The process was confusing, involving off-site lockboxes with strange instructions like “Don’t bother security—they won’t help,” and warnings that contacting the concierge could result in cancellation. The room was nothing like advertised, and no resolution was provided when we reached out. The $5,000 cost was completely unjustifiable for the quality of the accommodation. Though the location was great, this place is a huge disappointment. Do not book here.

First, after booking, I wanted to inquire about the parking availability and early check-in. I messaged the hotel a few days before my booking, as well as on the day of my booking, and received no response. At the day of my booking, I called the hotel multiple times until Mark answered. I asked him about the early check-in, he told me I had to transfer $50 for that. I waited for an hour for a call back and he said there is no early check-in available. He said the $50 would be transferred back to me, but it never did. I also asked about the parking and he said there was no parking available until after check-in. He said his manager would contact me right away for the parking, but I never got a phone call/email. When I called again, Mark said I must transfer $450 for “damage fees”, and that it is refundable, but it is required to check-in later at 5pm. This rule was not mentioned at all when I was booking the room originally. He also asked for pictures of my credit card, specifically where my name is on it, which was very unacceptable. I called him and said this is unnecessary and I would not be sending it. He then said “forget about it”. Finally, he sent me the check-in rules with the parking. However, the email was very careless and had little detail on parking location. In the email, the address of my room was completely different than the one I booked. This was extremely unacceptable as I was provided no notice that the room was completely different.

The property was barely habitable. Flooring was missing pieces, light fixtures were missing, many items broken or in disrepair, and very dirty. Adequate towels and bedding items were not provided. The hallways to the unit were in disrepair. The key to the unit was in a lockbox at a random location that required additional travel. There were no safety features for the main door-anyone with a key could have accessed the property. The property overall was a complete misrepresentation of the Expedia posting.

This is not a hotel. They take your deposit and never refund it. We left it in the exact condition we found it and they stole $450 from me. Communication is terrible and the place needs updates. You have to get the key from an office with unclear instructions. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

When we got there, the check in was online but slow, the attendant didn’t get my check in. So I had to send screen shots to prove I was there. Also, the dishwasher had dirty cutlery inside, and the glasses in the cupboard were dirty. Cleanliness was bad.

The floors of our suite were severely water damaged in both bedrooms, the shower head in the main bathroom didn’t work. The manager has poor communication skills, and I didn’t not receive my damage deposit after check-out.

So many issues. Highly disorganized and frustrating experience. I had no check in or parking information despite filling out lengthy pre check in information confirming I was set. Parking was supposed to be included and was not. At check in, was driving around in the rain and dark trying to figure out a lock box and send additional pictures to someone who didn’t seem to know who I was. Finally got in and the place was minimally clean (hair all over the floor) and had very limited amenities (eg no hand soap). No good way to get in and out and elevator took over 20 minutes at check out. Also got confusing and competing directions. For example, at check out it said both to leave the keys in the apt and to leave them in a lock box. When I asked which one, they wanted me to call someone. Just overall very clunky and frustrating.

Superb location. 7 min walk to Rogers stadium. Apt tidy and “man clean” but not spotless. Furnishings, appliances, carpet and kitchen/bath clean and a bit worn. The bldg is nice. Pkg space not available with apt we were in. Very very ltd street pkg. We used public pkg in a garage 3 blocks away. Pre-checkin could have been a little more streamlined. Very gracious host was responsive by text. Anyone planning to stay at this property must remember to check email 24 h before arrival for crucial instructions. I would stay here again.

We chose the Presidential room with lake view but when we got there, it was the Club Condo room and no lake view. When we called the owner to change the room or at lease got a refund, the owner kept telling us this was the room we chose and we mixed up the photos. We texted the owner the photos of the differences between our option and the room we got but no response. It was a bad experience when we paid for a more expensive room and got the cheaper one and not the one we wanted.

This is definitely a good option with merit. It's very difficult to find a quality accommodation at this price in the city. My wife loved it! Thank you. But I was definitely disappointed by the unprofessional appearance of the caretakers. I was little confused because they gave me inaccurate information, or there were a lot of unclear parts during the check-in process. In order to secure reservation, asked for $450 hold on credit card, and an ONLINE PHOTO of credit card and Driver’s License. Found this SUPER SHADY and would’ve cancelled as soon as they asked for this but the reservation was “non-refundable” and they would not give my money back. Got to property, picked up keys, parking spot full, were given new one on other level after walking back to key pickup location to get help. Room had broken screen, broken closet door, walls full of marks. Garbage in en-suite bathroom, and towels looked like they had been rented from a prison laundry. Carpet in hallways and unit were filthy and flooring was cracked/lifting in places. The best part came when we tried to leave and found out that our key fob would not allow us access to the parking spot they gave us for the car so we had to “bother security”-something they advised us not to do in the checkin instructions-to get access to our own car. Location was convenient-with water view and park nearby-as well as amazing brunch restaurant, “The Morning After” literally outside the front lobby; however, there is no polishing this turd. I will be watching my credit card carefully to ensure these people return the deposit, as I have read in review that they’re slow in doing so. Took pics of whole unit when I entered as I don’t want the shabby conditions to be blamed on me. Steer clear.
