Echarm Hotel

Arrived at night and got shuttle to the hotel (provided by Xiamen Airlines). Be mindful that: - Domestic departure opens at 5AM - International departure opens at 6AM If you use the shuttle from/to the airport for the morning flight (the earliest international is 08.10), be CAREFUL not to arrive too early. We arrived at 4.30AM, had nowhere to sit so we have to wait. I'm sure it was not the first time for them to have people arriving too early, yet they only provide very limited numbers of seat. At least, they need to put the open-close hour in the maps, but we can't even suggest updating the business hour. Also, if you stay in a hotel provided by the airlines, you can check the shuttle bus schedule (as attached). The price is only 10 Yuan. Unfortunately, I did not see that and paid for 120 yuan shuttle. The lady also said that I needed to depart from the hotel by 4.20 or 4.30, so I followed the instruction only to come to still-closed international departure 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 However, the airport is small but beautiful. Especially seeing the sunrise from the window ❤️

Note that the Xiamen Airport metro station is not directly located at the airport but is a couple of kilometers away, requiring a short transfer to reach it. The airport’s location is also a short distance from the city center, making it accessible for travelers. Overall, Xiamen Airport offers a pleasant and efficient experience for both domestic and international travelers.

Very friendly stuff, you can easily get help from everywhere because the airport stuff are everywhere walking around to offer help. I took Xiamen Airlines from Sydney to Chengdu, stop over in Xiamen, they provided very nice hotel

The airport is terrible, just like its system. Immigration officers arrived late, causing long lines as we had to wait for their slow service. It even closes at night?? Like wtf?? It's small, poorly managed, and the staff is SUPER slow. Terrible experience overall.

It's a mid sized regional airport. However the lounge was surprisingly decent for it's size. There's a variety of food options as well. If not there's already good old Burger King outside.
