Wanyue Grand Skylight Hotel Shenzhen

Very average hotel except location, right next to metro station. Breakfast was very ordinary & Wi Fi was extremely slow. Hard to find English speaking hotel staff.

Do not like the road construction nearby. Like the proximity to metro station.

Great service ! My flight departure time was late evening. I was asking the front desk if i could check out late then she extended my check out time to 14:00 right away.

It was hot while I stayed here and regardless of what temp you set on the air condition . It would not go below 25 c . The management said it was too expensive to cool any lower than 25.....

Excellent facilities but street & construction noise is significant in some rooms - they did address by moving us higher & to other side. We reserved and paid Expedia an extra person fee for 3 adults (which I assumed meant we would have a roll away or some bed for this third person) but no. They had no possibility of fitting 3 people in the 2 twin or one queen room. This created a huge problem, which manager Gavin addressed, but we had to pay a lot extra for upgrade to a King/twin room which wasn't offered on Expedia. Other staff members spoke very limited English, which sometimes made it hard. They do not have a business center, which would have been very useful to me. But happy to say hotel is right at Lingzhi subway stop, which is fantastic.

The area wasn't my favorite as a business/tourist, but still had some great restaurants within walking distance, and the biggest mall in Shenzhen within two subway stops. It was very convenient for our local office in the area though. The breakfast seemed to have something for everyone. The fitness center was so-s0, but sufficient in some ways. Aside from a random water bottle that was on the floor behind the front door when I first checked in, the room was clean and comfortable. Would be great to have 1 or 2 more english channels, but not sure if that's status quo for China or not. Overall, I'd stay there again and can recommend it to any travelers headed that way. The Internet was not that great. That was probably my biggest complaint. It worked, but was spotty.

We have 2 room booking with the hotel. the stay was good, area was close to business meeting. but after coming back we found out that we were bitten by bedbug in one of the hotel room. so do check if you have encounter the same problem and feedback in the lobby

Stayed one night / checked out early. Originally given a room on lower floor - these have not been upgraded and are very rundown. I believe newer rooms are on the Executive Floors - 27 to 32. My room on the 32nd floor was nicely renovated - no complaints. However, was unable to reduce the air conditioning temperature, and there was a terrible musty / mildewy smell in the room. I have never experienced something this bad. So bad, that you could not sleep properly. The executive lounge staff were friendly, but food / drink options were very basic, and the mildewy spell seemed to pervade here as well. Only opens 12:00pm - 10pm. A couple of the front desk staff spoke passable English, and to their credit were helpful.

The carpet looks dirty and believe not vacuumed. The pillow and mattress were not comfortable.

As a Gold plus member of Expedia , I am really so sorry to stay one night in this hotel . To undrestand you better , imagine , you have gone to a very good restaurant , very good food , best services ,.... but they do not give you spoon and fork to eat the food , if yes , then how you rate it ????? To let other knows , I stayed one night there , at night , I went for sport and all my cloths wet of sweater , as time was short , then had no time to wash and dry it , so as usual as other hotels , I took the laundry bag and put my dirty cloths to take home to wash. after I left hotel , one of the staff called me and told , why did you take the bag , please send it back or pay 30 RMB (less than 5 $ ) , I told het the story , after some times again she called me and told , our management did not accept , pay the money and bring back the bag. to repect them , I sent an email to management and told him the problem , they did not replied , the staff again called me, I told her that I sent email and she told that she would chase them to answer , but not any answer , just lady asked me to pay or send back, then unfortunately , today I found a guy from shenzhen , I asked her to take the bag to shenzhen and give it back to the hotel .'I am very very disappointed for such as poor minded management . I wish , they had a mark on th ebag about the price , then it would be much more convenient for me to pay and take the bag and not to be chased several times for such a unworthy items .

I reserve this via Hotel.com before 45mins arrival; but front desk staff spent 15mins to double clarify my booking. Next day the restaurant staff and front desk staff told me no breakfast include in my reservation, and have to pay extra breakfast fee Finally i refuse it and check out as well as complaint this upset breakfast case, another front desk staff told me this is their internal communications mistake. No idea any information transferred issue between Hotel.com and this hotel.

If Wifi is mandatory for you, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL AT ALL! I spent 6 nights during a business trip and it was the worst internet I've ever got in my life since the years of DialUp connection. I had a lot of work to do on the internet, but I could work only when the internet decided to work (which is a 50/50). And I'm not talking about VPN or blocked sites, because I don't use VPN and I didn't need to access any blocked sites. It's just their internet that is very very bad. Half of the time it simple doesn't work, and when it works, it has a turtle speed. It's unnaceptable that a hotel for business like this has this kind of problem with internet. And you can't say I was on a bad week because if you read the other reviews, you'll see that everyone who writes about the internet, just give negative feedbacks. Indeed it's a nice hotel, if it wasn't because of the internet, I would rate it 4 stars. So if you don't need internet, enjoy your stay. If you need, run away to other hotel.
