The property is great (unit 1211). The surrounding area is nice as well. The only downside is their guest policy. I understand it is to prevent sex tourism, but I was there with friends and family. They were staying at another location. They were not allowed upstairs to my room and my nephew and I share the same last name. That was a bit frustrating

I had a great stay at The Wake Medellín! The apartment was very nice, spotlessly clean, and had incredible views that made the experience even better. It was also very quiet, which was perfect for relaxing after exploring the city. The staff was outstanding—extremely friendly, responsive, and communicative. There was a brief issue where the water went out for a few hours, but the staff kept us informed about the situation, and it didn’t affect us much since we were out during that time. Overall, I would highly recommend The Wake Medellín for anyone looking for a clean, peaceful place to stay with excellent service and breathtaking views.

Our stay at the Wake hotel was a mixed experience. On the positive side, the hotel is aesthetically pleasing, well-located, and within walking distance to many attractions, making it convenient for exploring the city. The city was safe. Upon arrival customer service were well accommodating. The hotel helped with services to decorate the room, they were very detailed when checking in. However, several issues detracted from the experience: • The toilet had a stain upon arrival, and there were no washcloths provided. • The couch was visibly dirty with questionable stains. • The air conditioning didn’t work initially but was temporarily fixed. • Restrictions like no guests, no loud noise, and limitations on Jacuzzi use (it must stay on all day to work) were inconvenient. • Housekeeping wasn’t included; you had to pay for it separately. • The amenities were often unavailable due to fitness classes, and the shampoo/body wash seemed watered down. • The remote controls were non-functional, and some lightbulbs were out in the room. • Loud music and noise in the mornings made it difficult to relax. Customer service was inconsistent. For example, the front desk staff left the post during breakfast, leaving valet staff to assist guests. Our card to get in our rooms stopped working. Despite these challenges, the hotel’s design and location are its redeeming factors. With improved attention to cleanliness, maintenance and guest services it could be a much better experience.

Beautiful property! The room and view were amazing! However the communication from the property was terrible. The room details stated it slept 3 but the management wouldn’t let me have a guest unless they were told 24 hours in advance. They didn’t state that until checkin. Then they stated if a guest stays past 10 that would be the only guest allowed in a 3 person sleeper room. They have no right to dictate these terms AFTER paying for an expensive room. They literally turned a guest away and said she could come back tomorrow which makes NO SENSE. From this standpoint we had a bad stay but the property was clean and nice and the massage I received was great!
