A little oasis in San Jose. Such a welcome first night stop. Only downside was a problem with the water (there was none) the night we stayed. Not their fault, but no free drinking water, or apology

Our family stayed here the night before our flight out of San Jose. Nice and quiet estate with little villas in a gated property in the hills of Alajuela. Cool little shared courtyard with a decent pool to cool off. Easy to get into town and only 20-25 minutes to the airport. The included breakfast was good with gallo pinto, cereal, lots of fresh fruit and juice and coffee.

Definitely recommend this hotel if you are starting or ending a trip in Costa Rica. Close enough to the airport, but the hotel grounds make you feel like you are in a lush green sanctuary.

Great hotel, close to the airport and quiet. Rooms were very clean, with hot water showers (not that that’s a big deal in this climate), air conditioning, and a delicious home made breakfast with lots of fruit. And it has a nice pool and pool deck if it proper hot out.

Great place to start a beautiful holiday in Costa Rica. The garden is lovely and there are a lot of birds and other animals to spot.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, with airconditioning.
The restaurant has a nice menu with something for everyone to choose from. But if you want to eat somewhere else there also is a local restaurant nearby. There is also a small supermarket to buy your first groceries.
We always come back to La Rosa de America for a great start of our holiday in beautiful Costa Rica!
