It's a remote and wonderful place. Ronald and his family are very welcoming and prepare great breakfast! The room was cosy and the near by waterfall was a great swim! There are lots of grand Curaçao and agutis around. I would definitely recommend this place. They even have WiFi, which is enough to check your mails or send some foto's home.

The service was excellent, the included breakfast was very delicious.
If you take the alternate route inside, it doesn't even last 20 minutes from the center of Golfito.

Spend 3 excellent days at the Gamba Rainforest lodge. Ronald and Marie are very hospitable, the food is typical and delicious.
The garden is full of different plants and essences and just the route around the main house is a discovery.
Apart from that, the park entrance is less than 10 minutes away. Primary and secondary forest with hours of trails and you can count on Ronald's recommendations who know a lot about the area.
For nature and bird lovers it is paradise.
I will return!!!

The best place in the area to live an authentic experience. Ronald and Mari treat their guests like royalty. A very familiar lodge, with very delicious typical dishes, 100 meters from the Piedras Blancas National Park, with exuberant fauna and flora. Alligators, reptiles and birds will fascinate children as well as adults. I recommend it! *****

Arrived in La Gamba after a long drive and searched in vain for La Gamba Rainforest Lodge, which appears to no longer exist. After asking the police and in the tropical center, no one could help us, so we had no choice but to spend the night in the lodge to stay overnight in the tropical center of La Gamba, where we were received very warmly!
