Loved roof top restaurant and bar. Staff amazing. Great location for sightseeing

Very good location one block from Nasser Metro so very easy to reach most points of interest. Hotel fixtures are not up to date--old style room keys required a bit of patience. But room was perfectly fine, and rooftop lounge was a pleasant place for breakfast. All staff very comfortable. If modern western fixtures aren't critical to you, Carleton offers very good value

calm hotel in busy area

The hotel has a rustic charm. They clean it well, but it felt like parts of the room could use a bit of an update. We had a room facing the street where we could hear music from businesses below, but it didn't keep us up at night.

This historic property takes you back in time to how people lived a peacfull life, and easy going.

お湯が出ない、部屋の鍵がかからない、お風呂の窓が閉まらない、ホコリがすごい、柱が腐ってる…… スタッフは気さくで優しいのに、施設の設備が悪すぎます。 周遊後にもう一度泊まるつもりでしたが、キャンセルしました。

L’hotel si trova in una zona vivace del Cairo, affacciato su una piazza che può risultare piuttosto rumorosa, con il suono di clacson, cani e musica. La posizione potrebbe non essere adatta a chi cerca tranquillità o un contesto più curato. La struttura ha un fascino un po’ retrò, con un rooftop piacevole e camere ampie. Tuttavia, gli ambienti, seppur spaziosi, avrebbero bisogno di un rinnovamento, così come il livello di pulizia potrebbe essere migliorato. Il bagno, grande e comodo, è un punto positivo. Il servizio, purtroppo, è limitato: lo staff è abbastanza gentile, ma non molto capace di supportare gli ospiti e alcuni servizi, come la prenotazione di un taxi, sono proposti con sovrapprezzo. Non sono attrezzati per organizzare tour o altre attività locali. La colazione, inclusa nel prezzo, è discreta, anche se offre poca varietà. In sintesi, l’hotel ha alcuni punti di forza, ma per il prezzo pagato, in linea con altre strutture simili al Cairo, è probabile che ci siano alternative più soddisfacenti a disposizione.

Not so clean.The door lock is old and difficult to lock and unlock.

The hotel staff and location are great, but the room key is hard to open, the bathroom door doesn't open after it's been closed, the air conditioner doesn't work, and the Wifi isn't working. Is it just my room? I will come back to this hotel again during my stay in Cairo. I am very excited but a little nervous. The hotel is very antique and the elevator is amazing!!

Ein schönes historisches Haus!

Para el precio, está bien. Es un hotel viejo pero tiene buena comida en el roof y está limpio, además de muy cerca de la plaza Tahir y el Museo que tiene la máscara de Tutankamón. Como moverse en Uber en Egipto es muy barato, está en un punto medio de las principales atracciones. Idesl pars llegar a dornir y balarse mientras mejor gastas el.dinero en tours u otras actividades.

Un bon rapport qualité prix, le personnel est gentil et arrangeant, ils m'ont offert un taxi de l'aéroport a lhotel vers 5h du matin et m'ont permis de rentrer a la chambre vers 5h du matin au lieu de midi, vraiment c'était un super service. Merci encore a toute l'équipe

Espectacular place.

Nice old hotel with beautiful furniture! Bathroom box very small and water splashes everywhere. TV only local channels. Located at dirty area. Breakfast very basic! Front desk very friendly!

Très belle chambre lumineuse. Hôtel de 1935 avec une décoration restée dans cet esprit, très belle salle de dîner/bar. Personnel dévoué et à l’écoute. Excellent emplacement entre gare Ramses et place Tahrir, à deux pas du métro Nasser.
