Great hotel near Paddington. Nice and clean room. Was cold night in London but room was very warm. Comfy bed and nice clean ensuite. Wifi was not good, unable to connect in my room. Definitely would stay again.

The room I had was ample for what I needed as a Single Lady. My Room was well aired but you could put the heater on if you wanted to,you have to put your room card into a Slot & keep it in there for all the lights to stay on & function which I thought was so easy & nice,easy access to rooms with a room card that you press onto the Handle & it straight away opens for you,none of this putting the card into a Slot & sometimes waiting for it to open. I felt the Hotel was very clean in fact spotless,breakfast was Continental but plenty on offer like cereals,slices of Ham,Cheese & Chicken & croissants & boiled eggs plus yogurts so more than enough breakfast to start your day. I know some people may like a full English breakfast but it was lovely & enough for me. Staff very Friendly & helpful to me,I only have good things to say about the Alexandra Hotel & I fully recommend this Hotel if you are going on a short business trip or flying Solo like me to visit London as I saw Rick Astley's Swinging Christmas show at the Royal Albert Hall. This Hotel is very handy for Paddington Station,& also very close to Hyde Park & the other Parks & I would definitely stay at this Hotel again as very warm & a very cosy atmosphere. I loved the Hotel.

Look it’s not the ritz but it’s clean, bed is comfy and for £85 and a 3 min walk to Paddington station it’s the perfect place to lay your head after a night out in London

I had a basement room. The noise from the boiler was constant. When you went on the street there was steam from the boiler. Shower was good. Breakfast was good. Lucky i brought my own pillow as the hotel ones were small and thin. The sound proofing was poor. We could hear people walking around upstairs all night long plus all sorts of wierd noises. We were staying 2 days. The wardrobe had just 1 coat hanger. The building door to the street didnt lock so not sure about security. I stay in london often and this was very disappointing.

Very close to Paddington Station, surprisingly economic, and while the overall environment was basic, the room was fully equipped with new sanitary items and shower, plus a good TV and fully adequate Tea / Coffee facilities and reasonably comfortable bed. Good continental breakfast in clean dining area.

I was unable to arrive for my first night of stay due to connecting flight cancellation. I tried to message via Wotif.I had paid for two nights and arrived on the second evening to find I had been cancelled. I was forced to pay £100 for a room. The night manager promised that the main manager would refund us the next day. Manager did not appear. I left with a receipt and no refund.

Very small rooms , the elevator ( left) is out of service The stairs are steep and I had to leave my luggage at the reception ( front office) because the rooms are in the 4th floor and very difficult to reach them! I don’t not recommend this Hotel!

No real welcome. Very surly reception. Lock on bedroom door broken. Uninspired breakfast, limited choice and cramped service area. Lift not working. Had to climb four flights of stairs. All in all, very disappointing.

Within easy walking distance from Paddington station. Plenty of good eating places nearby. Good simple breakfast. Disappointed that our rooms were only accessible via a flight of stairs but help with our cases was appreciated.
