Very good value for 2 days B&B and very friendly staff.
Only area of slight concern were where stair hand rails met the wall and a nip was created.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Alton House Hotel, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure that all of my needs were met. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep.
The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring the local area, with easy access to nearby attractions. I also had the chance to dine at the hotel’s restaurant, and the food was absolutely delicious—both breakfast and dinner exceeded my expectations with a wide variety of options.

5 Night Stay close to family.
Did the job, staff were excellent, my bed was a bit bouncy but wifes ok.
Breakfast lovely could not fault.
Bar reasonable priced and draft beer was good unlike some hotels we have stayed at.
Little things that can make a difference to some people should be acted upon and not much to fix were:
Needs new toilet roll holder and some paint to cover mould especially in bathroom.
However for price paid could not complain.
Finally staff were excellent nothing to much trouble.

Stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. It is a old listed building. Average hotel. Room was dated.The bathroom was very smelly and there were no suitable rooms for us to be swapped to. Breakfast was excellent. The location was perfect to attend a wedding in Froyle.
The free on site parking was a big bonus.
Would recommend for a couple of night's stay.

We were welcomed into the property and directed to our room. Room was clean, tidy and spacious. We tried to use the shower but it wouldn't work properly temperature wise for us to be able to use it. We didn't have alot of time to report it at the time as we were running late for a family party did to traffic problems travelling up. The room appeared quiet until noisy residents came back and made alot of laughing and banging of doors.

Had a good stay, room was ok but a bit grubby, hook broken on door, outside chairs were broken and very grubby as was the table. With a smelly full ashtray in the middle which we moved away but was put back still full the next day. We did not get the 10% loyalty discount as we booked on line, which was a bit odd. We have stayed there before. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Very smooth and efficient check-in by a friendly young lady, comfortable room with excellent shower over the bath. Good restaurant for an evening Meal and very good selection on breakfast buffet. Comfortable sitting areas and good parking.
