Checked in to the very tired and tatty hotel, had paid extra for sea view except the windows were so filthy we couldn't really see out of them. The curtains wouldn't close, plug sockets were not fixed to the wall properly, no windows opened and the heating was on 24/7. Breakfast was included in the price but the waiter couldn't understand our order (sausages, beans, hash browns and scrambled egg) so we just settled and received luke warm beans, undercooked hash brown, snotty fried egg and a single cheap sausage so we never bothered again. Wish we hadn't paid up front so we could have left after one night. The hotel stunk of weed when we arrived, the towels smelt of bleach and our room never got cleaned as requested so we ran out of rubbish space and loo roll. Our first trip to Eastbourne and our last. Save your money and stay elesewhere

Receptionist was lovely, after we went to room went to bar for beer, no carlsberg and the san miguel was flat, room was dirty, sheets had stain on, bathroom a smear of something *nasty* on the door frame, had breakfast which was cold, and sausages not cooked properly

Had a fantastic stay at the Majestic Hotel in Eastbourne! The location is perfect right on the seafront with beautiful views and close to the pier. The room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, and the staff went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. They upgraded me to a sea view room free of charge which was great! Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. Definitely better than most hotels in the area as they have recently renovated the place I believe. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Unfortunately 1st room was dirty / windows were cracked had to ask for different room. Second room was ok but didn't realise until too late that towel rail didn't work. No control over heating in room so was cold & had to complain. Management controlled heating. No way to contact reception from room. Window wall was damp in the morning. Bed uncomfortable. Wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here. The two members of staff were pleasant & tried to help. We asked for tea bags & milk for room but they had run out. Ran out off the parking permits. We stayed because it was too late to find another hotel & we weren't there long but wouldn't go back. Also upon arrival we were told we had to pay upfront which I was very unhappy about. Think Expedia should take this hotel off their website.

Lovely couple of days and our only disappointment was the noise from road repairs between 11pm and 1am, no double glazing to help dull the noise.

Asked for a different room so we got bigger windows, which was arranged no problem (thank you). Overall it was a nice stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ordered at the table. Sausage I was served was clearly a very budget one. Shame as the rest of the hot breakfast was good. Choice of 'other' breakfast was limited to 3 cereals and toast. Checkout at 10am is very early

Very happy with the property, breakfast was delicious, they upgraded my room to Seaview with no problem, definitely would stay here again, highly recommend
