We stayed here for one night, lovely hotel but please be aware that to use the pool this comes with a separate cost in addition to the stay. Breakfast also comes with different options however it’s a free for all help yourself style so I’d recommend going with the cheapest option.

Very comfortable hotel. The rooms are large and well kept. We didn't use the restaurant so cannot comment on that, however we did go to the Old Boathouse (which is part of the hotel) and had a very good meal served by friendly and efficient staff.

Very disappointed after spending £600 for 2 nights. Room had not been vacuumed properly in a long time. Carpets and sofa were full of dog hair, living area smelt of (dog?) faeces with stains to go along with it. Room was next to a loud generator which went off all night. Mentioned to reception to hopefully have a quick clean for the 2nd day, no one even came round to apologise or clean.

Very easy check in and checkout, friendly and polite reception staff. If would have been good to have some bottled water available in the room as booking was for 3 nights and refreshments tray was basic. We had to ask for an extra bath towel on night 3 ( the first time we swapped them for new) as only one new one left in bathroom and we don't like to share, but 5 hand towels brought up to the room which was a little odd. However, the bed was very comfortable, bathroom was clean and the temperature was perfect.

Staying as a couple, the check in was efficient. Parking was problematic - busy and some distance from reception. The room was clean but a bit tired in some areas, eg loose Bath panel, chipped grouting, chipped mirror. The bed was comfortable, the TV dated with limited channels. Breakfast was good and service staff efficient and pleasant. The ambiance of the bar area was poor as it seems to be part of the foyer.

Wouldn’t call it a relaxing stay probably because of the time of year ( end of Christmas) very busy lots of children and dogs so quite noisy especially in the bar and breakfast.having said that the rooms were nice and breakfast was very good so would stay again just not during school holidays also our two rooms weren’t ready despite getting there after check in time.

The Waitrose of hotel brands. Unsurprisingly attracts a similar clientele as Waitrose who bring their notions of entitlement with them. And like being in Waitrose none of them know how to behave in public or be considerate of others. Pool small, full of children and groups of drunk parents. Breakfast is OK but would be monotonous come day two. Would recommend as a night stop if you're traveling from Cornwall up North as we were.

We went for a spa break, and the actual facilities left a lot to be desired. Sauna was infra red, no working steam room, no hot tub and a small pool that was not heated. Lots of children, probably to be expected this time of year. The treatments themselves were great, especially the facial. The actual hotel is pretty poor, very much a work conference type of hotel. The bed was very uncomfortable and it was difficult to sleep, could just be a one off but that was our experience. Would not recommend for a spa break, but would for a one of treatment.

The staff at reception were consistently friendly, helpful and generally brilliant. We requested to switch rooms for a lake view and they did everything to make this possible, meaning our second night was spent looking out across the water. Our dog was equally welcome and was treated to a cosy bed, blanket, bowl and plenty of treats! The area around the hotel is lovely, with very nice walks around the lakes. The room was clean, but we could easily hear the neighbours in both rooms we had. The parking situation was stressful when we arrived: the bays aren't well marked and most guests double parked meaning we had to park a ten minute walk away from where we were staying. This improved the following day when others checked out. The hotel offers electric vehicle charging, though it is expensive (we ended up charging outside the Cotswold Outdoor's store next to the hotel, which was much easier, faster and cost effective). The Boathouse restaurant was impressive, offering very tasty food and plenty of drink options. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but would recommend requesting a lake view upon booking otherwise you might pay a lot for a nice-ish room overlooking a car park.

It is in a lovely area, and the hotel does look nice, however from a personal point of view it wasn’t the best stay. Once I got through the large queue for reception I was directed to my room. Initially it was a struggle to find because my room was behind a door with an entrance area which incorporated mine and the next doors room. The wording to say this was pretty small, and I had to walk up and down a few times before i worked this out. It could have been explained at reception. When I got through the initial door, the entrance area was in darkness and it was a good thing I had a phone to be able to see to get into the room. However my room was also in darkness, so had to return to reception to get someone to sort this out. After about 20 minutes it was sorted, but this did cause delays to getting to a Christmas party. Also the shower door was extremely stiff and I had to move it practically along the rail at the bottom of the door to get it to work. The knob on the door did not move the door at all. Not very good.

the hotel was absolutely lovely, staff were pleasant and check in was fast and easy. however i wasnt aware that this hotel was dog friendly and I suffer from allergies so sneezing my through my stay wasnt the best. i would also say that a mini fridge should most definitely be an essential in each room as i had to my put my dip and cheesecake in a bag outside to stay cold to find out it was then taken by staff the following day. the TV is also incredibly small for the size of the rooms it could be at least a 45inch. the spa was beautiful and our treatments were great, had the back and shoulders which was fantastic as my knot in my shoulder is finally gone. the downfall to the actual spa, the showers freezing before getting in the pool and it could do with an actual jacuzzi. other than that, we were happy with our stay and its not too far to local amenities.

Very friendly efficient staff. A HUGE clean airy room with bright big window . The window had black out curtains so nice and dark at night . All lovely and clean with fast hot running water for bath and shower . Unfortunately Brasserie restaurant closed in evenings so went to the Boat House which was clean . Good food and efficient staff. Hot stone massage was really good. It could do with a few more loungers in by the swimming pool . Excellent stay . I would highly recommend.
