Staff were nice, great location. Hotel itself was cheap but reflective of that it was very shabby and run down. There was no breakfast available as deliveries hadn’t come. There was a shoeless man passed out on the floor in the lobby at 10am, police there multiple times during our two day visit, felt pretty dodgy. Shower gel/shampoo dispenser empty, only one towel for two guests for two nights and no hot water in the shower in the evening. The bedroom had no lamps just harsh overhead lights, and we could hear every word the neighbours in the next rooms were saying. Would not stay again but it was fine for the price, the location is really great and the staff very nice and friendly, especially the man who had the unpleasant job of turning people away from breakfast.

It's a large hotel, totally cashless from check-in to the bar, no cash accepted anywhere. Made a mistake with my room allocation but quickly resolved by Dave on reception who was doing the job of two people.
Decor could be better and the rooms but for what I paid it was outstanding.
£5 to park your vehicle overnight but overall very good.
The view over the sea in the morning was very welcome.

Won't book here again. No parking, didn't feel safe, not able to contact front desk via phone when arrived, 13p per min to call and speak to front desk who don't answer.

One night styay prior to eurotunnel. Needed a simple room to stay before travel and to avoid atrocious travel to Dover due to roadworks. Cost was very good no brianer to stay. Room adequate, all that you needed but a bit bland. But the room served its purpose it was comfortable and clean. Note be careful of shower water is near 80c and burnt my partners toe ! Near to tunnel (15 mins) Breakfast was good but some items were luke warm rather than hot due to stupid heat lamps that in my opinion never really work. Would stay again. Its a pity that the splendor of the original hotel has been vandalised by greed and horrendous 1970s extensions.
