This is a rather new property, especially for the area. This town used to be a bit of a black hole with respect to hotels downtown, but this has been remedied thus. Highly recommend for people who want to stay in Guildford town center. Lovely.

However, really not as good as expected given the cost and the occasion. Bar service was good once we managed to get somewhere to sit. Felt rather cold and lacking in ambience. Good breakfast and staff were all super friendly. Great location for the city.

Excellent hotel. Close to all shops, restaurants and GLive center. Service was professional. Rooms highly decorated and very clean. Breakfast staff were helpful and food was very nice. I will be using this hotel again next time i visit Guilford.

Expected luxury for the price but the rooms are tired, frosted windows with no view, so cold even when we asked for a heated. Meant to have robes in the room…. No nothing. The spa is tired, unhygienic and soaking wet where the shower drains being blocked

Can be noisy if your room is over the restaurants. Breakfast reslly just average buffet. Good location and paid parking - been there many times and the hotel parking area is always full so you end up paying

The room was nice but few fixtures could do with upgrading. The blind curtains where grubby with marks and no shower Matt

All pleasant. Room was in a part of the corridor that smelt unpleasant but actual room was fine. So-called black out curtains let light in. Shower quite feeble. Overall a good stay but nothing memorable or special above what you get at a Premier Inn! 60th birthday celebration for husband. Some recognition of that by a hotel of this cost would have been nice although obviously not expected. Looked in at spa but much smaller than expected so didn’t bother to pay to spend time there. Long bar was a nice space but loud for catching up with family (even the 21 year old agreed!) but hotel bar felt like sat in entranceway. Breakfast was one stand-out experience here.

Very disappointed with my stay this time. No hot water due to a power cut at 3am. Still no hot water at 10.30am. Very poor service and disinterested reception staff. Also cooked breakfast (buffet) luke warm and no staff about to ask if it could be heated up. This is very surprising as I have stayed here several times before and it’s always been good.

The hotel room was clean itself but looked on one of the lampshades there was some very unpleasant stains on it to say the least. The beds was very comfy along with the pillows and place felt clean overall. Also maybe a few less scratches on the wall, could maybe do with a lick of paint.
Also there was a music event on till 1am and they gave us 1 extra hour on checkout which wasn’t really needed.
