The receptionist was polite, informative, very accommodating and very attentive. 5 star service as good as 5 star hotels. The top floor room was a nice size, had lovely views, a dressing table area and excellent shower room. Enjoyable stay all round

Hotel was a bit difficult to find in the dark but we had a lovely room and having the private car park in the back was a bonus as not sure we would have managed in such a popular place. Staff very friendly we were even shown to our room not just shoved a key in our hand and given room number. Breakfast was excellent and we were given a great choice

We stayed here for two nights for a family wedding close by. The venue is beautiful. Decorated in a family style with a lovely room which was spacious enough. My children loved the Jacuzzi bath! The village is beautiful. If I had to think of a bad side, the cyclists did make some noise in the morning, but it wasn’t really intrusive. I’d stay here again!

A fabulous hidden gem! tucked away in a lovely quite village. Friendly staff and wonderfully comfortable accommodation. Breakfast was amazing. Will definitely stay again when I'm that way for work.

Some real highlights and some unfortunate low lights.
Sunday to Tuesday the staff were great and very friendly. Couldn’t do enough for us and the breakfasts were superb.
Sadly on the Tuesday evening the restaurant failed us in spectacular fashion. One course (they forgot the starters and took so long on dessert we told them to forget it) and that took over 2 hours.
Our final morning saw different breakfast staff, and they really weren’t fussed or that bothered. A shame.
But I must emphasise the first couple of nights were wonderful.

This is a great little hotel with a pub attached with great food as well. We regularly stay here and have done for many years. The location is fabulous for walkers and countryside lovers. A must for cyclists.

Nice comfortable room and good breakfast, plus code-secured car park. However, access roads to the village are steep and narrow, and the food at the adjoining pub “restaurant” was less than inspiring.

Lovely little pub hotel surrounded by peaceful villages & lush, green countryside. We were met by a wonderful lady who made us feel really welcome, made sure we had everything we needed & it certainly felt like a home from home. Comfortable, warm & friendly. Good food available in the pub restaurant & a delicious breakfast the next morning. Huge hugs all round as we left :) My children, little dog and I would absolutely stay here again!
