Very nice room with an unexpected and wonderful upgrade. Food options require more attention with cut and quality of meats. Very helpful staff once dinner had been refunded. Overall a relaxing night enjoyed. Lord T Taylor

Lovely place to stay

A wonderful place to stay, can’t complain about anything, and very good value for money.

Lake of bar staff to take food and drink orders, 4 draft beers were not available. Food menu was not the greatest selection but what was delivered was very good.

Booked to meet a friend at short notice. The staff were charming and very friendly. The room was extremely clean warm and comfortable. I think we will be making a habit of staying at the Jamaica Inn as it’s equal distance between Great Torrington and Falmouth where we each live and it enables us to meet up more often with our very busy working schedules. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Great stay will be returning with the family at some point.

A small problem with the heating is my accommodation was quickly rectified with a change of room.

Lovely evening in number 3. Bath tub was amazing. Four poster bed super comfortable. Evening meal and breakfast was superb. Friendly staff and will definitely be back soon

Comfortable clean modern room with charm would benefit from a small refrigerator. Friendly helpful attentive staff in both the hotel restaurant and bar.

Although there had been really bad snow we found it very easily. The room was excellent. Very clean. The breakfast was excellent. Fresh cooked. Absolutely stunning inside with so much history

I never go back to somewhere I haven’t experienced only good at, and this is my second time here. Same same. Great atmosphere, love the history, love the building and the surrounding area. Although not much to do in and around, the tranquility around is so wonderful. Great service as before and live the rooms!

Disappointing revisit...the afore mentioned balcony was a step with two slimey bar stools to perch over a pitched roof, so from inside the room there was no view. Not the room advertised on hotels.com. The menu has changed and appears to be more in line with bulk chain buying. There was rugby in the bar and when we were chatting (no one else sat near the tv and in turn this was tge inly place we could sit) the person watching said rugby turned it up to volume 80, completely ruining any chance of conversation or a relaxing atmospheric evening. Tables were left uncleared, the menu asjed for did not appear so we tried to order off the menu online, however that had been superceeded, no table check on food or offer of desserts when cleared. Ok so many things could be ok its only a 3 star pub but after 5 previous visits its become apparent that there is a reliance on holidaymakers and heritage not returning customers. So sad, we even went to bed early in our expensuve attic style room.

Old and new -quaint and quirky - simply a lovely place to stay

Just used as a stop over for one night. Extremely helpful staff with great food and drink. I have stayed here before and will no doubt use again.

I had booked a room for the wrong night but reception staff were very efficient and sorted this out very promptly. Our room was so cosy with chalet style decor, refreshments and good quality bathroom products. The bed was King size and really comfortable. The room was warm and quiet. We had dinner there but were disappointed. Service at the bar was slow, menu offerings standard, and the food was served lukewarm. Such a shame! Will definitely come back for the accommodation!

Room was absolutely gorgeous, clean and well maintained would stay again

Our check in was seamless. The receptionist was welcoming and nothing is too much trouble Our room was absolutely beautiful and the doggie welcome pack and bed was lovely touch We ate in the restaurant last night. All staff were attentive and friendly The food was superb. Well done Everyone. Brilliant stay ,will definitely book again
