Turned up to the hotel to be told we didn’t have a booking. Zero empathy or customer service. I had driven 3 hours and myself and my 1 year old had no place to stay and hotels.com weren’t able to relocate us so had to drive home.

Avoid if possible. We arrived and nobody was on reception so we tried the telephone number left on the desk. I even had trouble with this but eventually my friend connected only to be told by the manager of the property, Victoria, that we didn’t have a reservation and that there had been a customer cancellation (?!) They had no apartments available, couldn’t help. We had to drive home. We never got to see what it was like inside but there were a lot of comings and goings in reception of residents, none of whom spoke any English, so we couldn’t ask any of them for guidance as to what to do either and a whole pile of Amazon parcels left on the reception desk. The location is its only asset, as it is right in the heart of Macclesfield and close to the shops and Gawsworth Hall.

The room was dirty. The linen was dirty too. Im a night nurse i sleep during the day. Few minutes after s went to sleep the first day i checked in, someone came to my room and asked me to checkout. I told her i have just check in and i will be here for two more days. She went out to get me a key. They key was not working. went out again. Came bavk again to bring the key afteri had slept. She really disturbed me thst i hsd a problem to go bsck to sleep.

Reception was off when we arrived and asked the cleaner to let us in, we’re then told we hadn’t paid even though I showed my bank account - after a while we were let in however I called by the receptionist to say my payment still hasn’t gone through of which I diverted him back to Hotel.com for assistance. The cleanliness was so so the sick had bits in it and the hot water wasn’t very hot. Unfortunately it doesn’t come with the basis necessities such as shower gel or hairdryer, but if you just needs somewhere to sleep for the night it’s fine.

It started off poor with the communication just not taking place. I had to phone a mobile phone multiple times prior to getting a response. I then was charged twice and still chasing payment. For a new building it is dirty and already in poor state of repair. The building smells of old curry the whole time even in the rooms. We had a penthouse, but basically a top floor room with nothing you would call special. Paid 180.00 for a standard room, with kitchen and dining area. The shower had no shower gel or soap for the sink, we ended up using the washing up liquid from the kitchen. This is very poor value for money and would never stay again
