Historical building and excellent green space

Really loves the atmosphere there and it was nice to still have all the Christmas decorations still up. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was really tasty

A wonderfully escapist stay in a blissfully romantic setting. The bedroom was stately with a titanic en suite bath and an enchanting view. The stair case made gone with the wind lòok low rent. The dining room was wonderfully lit with spot on service and a menu that turned out to be much more delicious than it sounded. Breakfast was great with an array of extras that could be cooked on demand at no extra cost. The grounds were huge, and the formal gardens like an MR James adaptation as were the rather neglected but stunning rock gardens. All the food got burned off swimming lengths of the pool and in the sauna which were both excellent.

Never fails to impress me this place is absolutely stunning and is dripping with history and class. From Churchill’s office to a grand entrance with open log fire, pure luxury.

A beautiful location but as a hotel, the room was looking rather tired. Old worn taps in the bathroom, thin towels that smelt strongly of peroxide. And the TV didnt work. Many of the doors in corridors where also looking chipped and worn. I would call it a 3 star hotel no more despite the beautiful tapestries on the walls. Large comfy bed though, and breakfast was good, though at an extra £20 it should be.

Luton Hoo is a stand- out hotel and spa with breath-taking opulence and grandeur. Its grounds are vast and stunning. From the minute you arrive staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Nothing is too much wherever you go. The restaurants provide allergy- friendly options and there is a wide choice of foods. Concierge services provide cars to drive you to and from the spa which is only a 3-4 minute walk. Peacocks frequent the site so look out for these outside your window! The spa facilities are everything you need for that total sense of well-being. Staying here is a real treat, perfect for rest and relaxation.

Amazing service and great location. Really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast options were great. The spa is pretty busy but recommended going early morning for a quiet swim.

Best experience ever

Beautiful property with highly attentive, friendly staff. Our room was spacious but needed some attention, however. The TV did not work, the toilet was very finnicky to flush, and the towel rack did not heat up. They were kind enough to offer us another room, but it was too late at night for us to be bothered. They offered us a round of drinks as compensation but the wine they sent was undrinkable.

A lovely overnight stay for my husband’s birthday. The hotel is full of history and is very interesting. Adams restaurant was excellent.

Excellent facilities and service

The ground were beautiful 10/10, the swimming pool and steam felt a bit like a lido - not the cleanest. The staff were friendly but not the most professional. The rooms are a good size but they need alot of love and a lick of paint. It has potential to be a five star property if someone took over and invested a lot of money into it, but as of now i would rate it 3* or 4 star max. The price does reflects 3 or 4 star, overall it was good to see once but I won't be going back.

Stayed in the "club house", room seemed tired in need of a refresh. The toilet bowl was not well cleaned and hadn't been for some time you could the accumulation of muck where it flushes away, surely a bit of strong bleach would tackle that. The breakfast was an ridiculous mess from start to finish, had to queue to get seated for 10-15 mins as they didn't have enough tables to accommodate everyone. The staff were run off their feet and would bowl through making you give way to them in the very narrow floor areas between tables. The hot foot was completely depleted in need of replenishment, no eggs, no hashbrowns, no sausages. Poor organisation by the staff here, it can't be that difficult to keep an eye on the levels and have replacements cooking and ready to deploy. The spa was extremely tired, the wood was falling apart in the sauna, the pool area needed new tiles. My local "everyone active" public swimming pool is more luxurious. Very disappointed. The redeeming feature - The grounds are spectacular and the main house has a lovely historic character, it's a shame it's let down by the poor organisation, service and quality of the rooms.

The hotel was 19th Century charm but the bathrooms were early 20th century and not so charming. I also found the staff less than helpful. I requested twice that because the comforter in the duvet was too warm to please remove it. After 2 nights, I did it myself. I was also assured the rooms had in-room safes. What I wasn't told that it was in the top of the cabinet reachable only by standing on a chair. I asked for a stool and was told that wasn't possible. I lost a coin purse with 60 pounds in it and their lack of care or concern were remarkable. If they find it does turn up even with the 60 pounds, I'd like it sent to me.

Wonderful stately hotel building and excellent servicel. Staff were friendly, polite and efficient. We had a very comfortable stay with our dog in the Park area of the hotel. The swimming pool and spa area was lovely and the grounds around the hotel are of outstanding beauty. We ate at the Brasserie in the stable block. The food was delicious although quite pricey.
