I’ve been to this hotel before and shall continue to stay here when in Manchester.
It suits our purpose and is near everything being central and near the train station.

Good breakfast and comfortable rooms, however they are starting to look a bit dated. Wasn’t too impacted by the location/road noise, despite it being so central. Very convenient for transport links.

A great hotel in a great location, just across the road from Piccadilly train station and a stones throw away from canal street and China town. The rooms are really comfortable. However it can be luck of the draw which rooms you get. Some of them are looking old now and a bit dated inside and some of them are small, to give the hotel its due, it does state that there upgrading the rooms and you may get a new or old style room. The bathrooms are always of an excellent size. Great tea and coffee in the rooms and the onsite restaurant is good as well. It’s our hotel of choice we look to book when stopping in Manchester.

Despite my ringing the hotel before booking, mentioning while booking, and following up with them after booking and checking in, they still managed to put two feather pillows on the bed causing me to have multiple asthma attacks until the allergens were discovered. The staff (not the housekeeping staff) were very kind and apologetic but I was hugely disappointed overall. The room for which I paid an upgrade fee was also dusty and dingy. Won't be staying again. Sad.

Have stayed here many times but this stay was disappointed. Toilet door broken, shower control broken, twice in a day asked for room to be cleaned no one came. WiFi was poor and barely working. Only good thing was the location. Very disappointed with an establishment with such a high per night cost

Central location, pretty spacious and comfortable room. Coffee machine, bath tub are good. Some staff were really helpful but I had to wait for the staff to come out to the reception almost every time.

We have stayed at ‘the Mal’ in Manchester a couple of Ines because it’s a great location and the rooms are spot great.
This time we were pleasantly surprised to get an upgrade and the check n was very warm and welcoming.
The room was amazing as always.
Alas, this time and for the first time, we were let down twice by the food service. Room service forgot some of the order, sides and at breakfast the next day, the eggs Benedict seemed like it had been in the side for a period of time, hard eggs and ‘chewy’ muffins.
We will still return, we think it’s a one off but, give two incidents in one stay, it did leave an element if ‘that’s a shame’ feeling.

its a vibrant hotel with the cafe / bar / resturant and perfect location to the train and all facilities and taxis outside . would like a 12 am check out for us concert / clubbers/ otherwise perfect
