Very good communication with reception when we phoned to let them know of our likely late arrival due to a motorway closure. Check in absolutely fine. Very happy to find the free Tesla Destination chargers, so a full battery in the morning. Nice bar (usual slightly high hotel prices) and a pretty good breakfast buffet.

Free parking nice staff and nice clean room breakfast and dinner was nice the only thing let down was the 2 pillows given were too big not comfortable need improving on different pillow sizes and give 4 sizes didn't sleep good at all.

Although the rooms were more than adequate, and staff seemed friendly, the stay was disrupted due to selfish guests slamming doors, running around, singing all thru the night to 5am. There's having a good time and then there's being inconsiderate to other guests. Would have hoped the staff would control this but not so. I get its xmas party season, but not everyone staying there is partying and some have work to do. This does need to be policed a little better.
Also charging to use the leisure facilities while staying at the hotel £5 pp/pn is a tad cheeky.
The restaurant also was sadly let down by how long and how much they charged. Ordered one starter of Duck spring rolls for £8 and was given 4 tiny duck spring rolls very overpriced for deep fried frozen food.
And ordered a side of chips, took 20 mins for the food to arrive with only 1 other table occupied a bit of a joke for 2 things!
Also noticed how unsound proofed the walls are, you can here every sound from the room next to you and would think vice versa, and above or below.
Had the price been substantially more i would think a lower rating would be well justified.

Sadly, although the majority of the staff are excellent, there are one or two exceptions.
The hotel is looking a little unloved in places and could do with an overhaul, and the sound of banging doors etc in the middle of the night,(1.30-2.30am) and people stood outside smoking and chatting is quite disturbing to those trying to sleep. The night reception staff need to keep an eye on this.
Having stayed at this hotel many times this year I doubt if I will be returning.

Stay was ok, it was only for a business trip so not looking for luxury.
Disappointed with breakfast.
Breakfast was served from 7am, and, as we needed to be out of the hotel by 07:30 were down promptly at 7. The mushrooms, fried eggs & bacon were all cold. How can this be if the breakfast service starts at 7? Is this pre prepared and meant to be kept hot?

Hotel wasn't very bad. Main comments are they are short staffed, staff is not warm, food is not value for money. It was a great place to be when it was under Marriott.. I wish they address the few points..mainly the staff. I believe they are working too hard or not paid well. We did not feel welcome there.

The room was an internal room with no window as described, so no complaints with that or the general cleanliness etc.
Main problem was the uncomfortable bed and the poor TV. The bed had a thin topper but felt like you were laying on a concrete floor. The TV showed loads of freeview channels but the remote controller was exceptionally slow didn't allow you to select anything other than 2-3 channels.
