It did the job, but the bathroom was very cold. There was a towel rail, but this didn't heat the room. I appreciate that old windows are not the best at being draft-proof, but I would then appreciate something to help with the cold.
The water pressure was terrible, so having a good shower wasn't going to happen.
I wouldn't stay again.

The hotel is perfectly situated on the sea front. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel bar and reception are have been updated and are nice. The rest of the hotel - corridors, bathrooms, etc really need updating. It’s worn, faded, and old. I was in a Mews room. The room I would give 5 stars to. This room was updated and very comfortable. The bathroom too. Great hotel but needs work in between the front lobby and the rooms!

Stayed 1 night so unable to leave a balanced review. Staff were excellent, room was clean, but basic. The shower tray filled up too easily. The bed was rather hard. The bar shut at 11.00 p.m. Breakfast was fine if a little haphazard. Would stay there again.

I complained the morning after my stay as the banging noise of the window kept me up ALL night as I thought someone was trying to get into my room.
I spoke to staff and they said the manager would call me on Monday and still had no call one whole week after!

Extremely tired property, carpets looked like they hadn't been hoovered in months, carpet coming away from the steps which is a trip hazard. Big black stain on the carpet in the bar area. We were in the Mews section which was allegedly the "new" part of the property. Bedroom walls bulging with what was probably old damp, had to get towels out of a weird plastic bag as only towels out for 1 person. Booked a twin room, got to the room and had to separate the beds ourselves to make it a twin.
For the money charged - very disappointing and wouldn't use this hotel again

Hotel staff were all brilliant, super friendly and very down to earth. Room was good however small and we couldnt seem to fully the radiator off. There was air con tho. Bed was very comfortable. Good location for the seafront.
