Great hotel for mid week business stay. Friendly helpful staff.

Great hotel, have stayed a few times and the team have always been accommodating and helpful. The hotel is clean and well provisioned. Gym is small but there is enough equipment to do a good workout and the sauna is great.

The staff are excellent and professional. Please credit them for their professionalism and service.

The receptionist on duty when we arrived on Thursday evening was brilliant. John at breakfast on Friday morning went beyond the call of duty to provide excellent service. The location of the hotel is brilliant for those that enjoy a walkabout - a huge park is within a 5-minute walk.

The staff

Since my last visit to this hotel they have decided to charge £12 a night parking, where before it was free, and use a bunch of parking goons: ParkingEye , to enforce it. The problem was that when I checked in, the person on the desk didn't tell me about the new arrangements resulting in me being issued with 4 PCNs in my 60 hour stay. These were dropped once I'd got in contact but it was still a pain and time consuming. Hotel is fine generally but it will make me consider my options when staying in this area again.

Our room was quite small but only stayed for one night so ok. If I was staying longer would like a proper wardrobe and drawers instead of hanging rail. On a plus note the staff were lovely and the leisure facilities were excellent

A very last minute and unplanned late booking, arriving around 8pm. Room was small and had thin walls where we could hear our neighbours talking. Luckily I was so tired that this didn't matter. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom and shower were pretty nice. Breakfast was good but only opened at 8am, although this could've just been because it was Christmas Day. Parking was charged at £12/night and I was pleased to be given a 50% discount for providing my email address. It was good value for money overall, staff were very nice, and it offered a pleasant stay under our circumstances.

We had a nice stayand the staff were excellent. Very friendly and attentive.

Was disappointed in the pool being closed, no body wash in the dispenser, then the TV wouldn't work properly. After reporting the TV for the 2nd time the nice receptionist came up to investigate and ended up giving us another room for all our troubles. The new room was bigger and nicer. The shower had a hard time draining so you had to turn it on and off as you showered to not cause a flood in the bathroom.

Stay was great and comfortable. Lovely staff and good service too. Would have sincerely appreciated 1 or 2 bottles of water within the room. This is a basic necessity and it was quite awkward to fill the kettle with sink water from the bath. For a room worth over £100, a simple 50p water bottle wouldnt cost too much

The stay at this hotel was a pleasant surprise. Located close to the city centre was ideal. Parking was convenient and the charge was known in advance. Particularly liked the dining area and adjacent bar. Excellent value for money

Staff are very helpful. Especially the team on reception. Hotel is clean and facilities are good.

Overall its been a pretty good stay. We could have done with a bigger room and a bigger bed as i am 6ft 5in tall, but other than that things have been fine.

Great couple mini break away

I booked this particular hotel because it was a walkable distance into the city centre and for the pool and spa facilities. The room was very small. I had to walk sideways to get around the bed. We also couldn't get the heating to work. Excellent shower though. Pleased the bar was still open when we got in with good cocktails on special offer! Breakfast was tasty although the hot water wasn't hot enough for tea making, the orange juice was too diluted and the conservatory roof was leaking in more than one place.
