Staff friendly and check in was very easy with Nicky. Room was good but everything is a bit tired like worn carpet’s and stains in the bathroom but it was clean. The heating in the room is good. The beds are very soft and not very sturdy which could be a problem if you have a bad back. My only gripe was being awoken in the night by other noisy guests as the walls are not very thick. The fitness centre is decent, again old equipment but everything is clean. I would stay here again but probably not for more than two nights. Parking is also good.

This hotel has underinvested in both its maintenance and staffing. Only one member of staff on duty at breakfast. My bedroom curtains had blood splatter across them, along with a broken wardrobe door and a bathroom door that would not fully open. Grim is really not the word! The grounds have homeless men wandering around.

All the staff were so polite and courteous and made us feel welcome.
The room was clean and warm
The bath needed re-enamelling and we had an adjoining room which you could here the room next door

We did stay for 11 nights, I asked for a fridge several times for such a long stay but they never got back to me! Room was fine - the shower is over a very narrow bath tub which is tricky to get in and out of. Nice gym, pool and beautiful grounds to walk in. Nice location, close to Ecclesall rd. The buffet breakfast was good. Reception was very helpful - Lisa was great

It's a bit run down and the breakfast and coffee machine was pretty low quality. I like the Nespresso pods in the room for coffee though.

Lovely hotel with free parking and very friendly staff. The bed, however, was like a bouncy castle so had bery little sleep. Nether Edge is a beautiful area of Sheffield.

The newer part - where my room was - was functional, if not beautiful, but lovely and clean and comfortable, with gorgeous linen and towels. The older part was really lovely and very worth preserving and maintaining.
The absolute best part of my stay was the staff. All impeccable, friendly and professional. Thank you Warlei for my clean, fresh room; Charley and Ellise on the front desk, Paul and Chloey in hospitality as well as all the rest of the team who worked so hard. You’re all marvellous!

Hotel was a nice place but very tired and in need if decoration.
Hitek receptuin staff were lovely.
Breakfast was good
Evening meals were the worst I have had in a long time. Supermarket bread rolls, raw steak, slow service, freezing cold restaurant. So cold couldnt eat desert.
Spoke to a manager who promised to rectify meal problems. Still waiting despite several emails.

We only stayed 1 night for a wedding but should've have booked for longer. The staff are friendly, the grounds, hotel and rooms are stunning. Very clean, the bed was enormous.

Room was big but dated, with a nice view of the gardens. Gardens looked nice but we found the paths to be poorly maintained and lacking TLC. Our main issue with the hotel was the heating, they obviously have major issues as they seemed to be using external temporary boilers. Our room was always cold and we did not have hot water when we were getting ready for dinner, during the night the heat really dropped to the point of being uncomfortable.

Elise on reception was the highlight upon our arrival. Very personable and helpful. Room was poor standard, no lighting in main area other than one lamp by the bed and one on dressing table. Altogether dingy. Pillows in particular did not smell fresh, disgusting. Bathroom shabby with rusted light fitments and stains on door. Definitely would not recommend.
