Novotel Birmingham Airport

whats the point of having a gym that doesn't open until 8am? Not really helpful for people using it for business. at work for 8 also the lighting in the room isn't ideal

Great hotel, perfect for people travelling through Birmingham airport and we stayed for work as visiting a show at NEC. Staff friendly especially behind the bar.

Close to airport good for early morning flight.

What a great find! Literally across the street from the main terminal. Great staff. Great food. Excellent room. I needed help with my luggage as well as wheelchair assistance. They took care of everything. Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely room nice and comfortable. Couple of issues receptionist booked taxi which to me to the wrong venue for an event i was attending and she couldn't find my reservation.

Great for ease access to the airport, but overpriced and other than the hotel restaurant, which is way overpriced, there is little to eat unless you like Greggs or sandwiches.

A nice stay, conveniently located

Fully recommend - we checked in at 3pm as we had a flight the next day at 6am. Staff were reallly lovely, nice service in the bar and restaurant, 1 min walk to the terminal. We stayed with a baby and the room was clean and spacious even with a baby cot in. It’s a little more expensive than the IBIS but fully worth it. Breakfast served from 4am.

Airport overnight stay only but everything fine, friendly staff, excellent food and service, comfortable clean room. So close to Birmingham departures, perfect stay.

Was a lovely room and the bathroom was beautiful but the bed was hard and the room was freezing only thin quilt, and turned the heating to it's highest 26 but still freezing, cold didn't get no sleep at all

Quick stop before plane next day. I warm welcome from reception. The food so so in restaurant in evening but the service from staff was fabulous attentive and welcoming. Breakfast great and service again outstanding

Close to airport for early departure or late arrival convenience.

The check in was busy so there probably should have been more than one agent on the desk. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and my partner ordered a burger without cheese plus fries and the attendant repeated the order back but as with many places we have been before the agent doing the order messed it up and it came out with cheese and the fries bought were cold. This is a basic mistake but instead of taking the whole order back and starting afresh we waited another 5 minutes for a burger to arrive and then another 5 minutes for another set of fries. If my partner had a serious allergic reaction to cheese i think the staff may have taken this far more seriously but instead tried to placate us with a free dessert or drink, we opted to take off the service charge which again should be optional and not an automatic right to add to the bill.

Convenient Location

Great place to stay for access to airport terminal.

Stayed for two nights, one either end of weeks holiday. We have stayed many times before and it is perfect for the airport terminal, being literally just across the road. Staff are excellent, Rooms were spacious and clean, however some constructive feedback,I am not a fan of the dual use mirror door to the bathroom, which then becomes the toilet door when in use. It is not a floor to ceiling door and has no sound proofing qualities shall we say! I would also suggest a non slip mat for the bath/shower. The first room had a shower over a bath which was not particularly easy to get into, and the second room had a walk in shower, but both were very slippery when wet. Also check that the built in fridge is switched on. Ours wasn't and we had to throw out some food that we put in there as we didn't realise and there was no signage (front desk advised that they are switched off to save power, but the plug is not easy to access and there was no notice to state this) Food in the restaurant for evening meal was very good but quite expensive, and there was a nice atmosphere both in there and the bar. Excellent hotel, good value if there is nothing on at NEC, when the prices go up, and using Tesco Clubcard Vouchers towards the cost.

It was very quiet and convenient

This is an excellent hotel to staying to start your holiday before flying out on an early flight. The hotel is clean, very modern, lovely bar with great service and food. You can eat in the bar or the restaurant. The rooms are lovely plus bed is very comfy. Note parking in the NCP car parks across the road are expensive at £59 per night but the hotel give you a QR code to get 50% off. Next time i will include that one night in my car park package. Brilliant hotel and will stay again.
