Novotel Leicester

Awful! at 5.30am hotel bin were change - 4 large bin pulled into truck. 20-30m - totally ruin my sleep and hugely stressful with big meeting at 8am Complained 3 times - basically got fobbed off by staff - that we we get our bins changed. Why not 7 in the evening. ha ha, 5,30 is good for the driver :( Staff really couldnt have cared less. Avoid!

Everything about this hotel from its amenities to the customer service is of the highest quality.

Great over all, needed a place to lay our heads for a night and Novotel did the job well. Everything was clean, warm and comfortable. Handy having parking just 2 minute walk away at £10 for 24 hours... pretty good these days in the middle if a city. Only niggle was the tap and sink setup in the bathroom meant you couldn't get much water in the kettle without using one of the small glasses to top it up... a very British problem and caused more giggles than gnashing of teeth! Free drink at the bar more than made up for it! Uber was easy and about £5 to Welford Road (Tigers rugby ground) We'll stay again for sure.

Excellent hotel conveniently placed for shopping and city centre. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great hotel, friendly staff who went out of their to help

Really good! Love hotel, very clean and fresh. Fantastic beds. Great service at the bar, easy check in / out. Gym clean and good for hotel gym, 24/7 too. Had to leave 6.30am so didn’t get up have breakfast. Would def go back

The room did not have good lighting and very small windows, which was very disappointing. Pick and drop off was inconvenient, and staff did not seam to care or know the address to give may car service to pick me up. I was told on more the one occasion to walk around to the back of the building or the side for pick up. Room service was excellent.

Decent hotel. Advertised as a double bed but it’s two single mattresses put together. Stayed for 3 nights and our room was never cleaned. We requested at reception for our room to be cleaned and it still wasn’t. There was a very long black hair that was definitely not one of ours in our shower tray when we checked in. Floor smelled of marijuana and when we asked if we could change rooms we were told that all of the rooms are the same. Wouldn’t reccomend. Last time I stayed here it was great service from staff and the overall experience of staying there was good. Very poor experience this time.

Not the best Novotel I've been.

Hotel was clean and comfortable, however the service from the front desk can be subpar. For example, the check in details for breakfast time etc was not provided and there was sign around that breakfast finishes at 11am, only to get the kids ready and was told breakfast finished at 9.30am. They tried to remedy and provided cold breakfast and beverages but that does not compensate for paying for a service and not being told about the service time by the concierge

We did enjoy our 11 night stay but felt the room wasn't adequate for such a long stay. We did see if we could move/upgrade whilst we were there but felt the superior rooms were an odd shape with even less floor space and the couch didn't even face the TV. Things we like: proximity to city, quiet despite city location. Things we didn't like: the parking, breakfast became mundane, the fridge in the room was pointless, the kettle was too big to put under the tap, the shower went all over the floor when showering and the inconsistency with housekeeping standards. The hotel is good but for a long stay it isn't ideal. You cannot fault the staff but with so many choices of hotel accommodation in Leicester thisnhotel isnt a stand out at all.

3rd visit lovely large bedroom the breakfast in Boxing Day was sky smoke good choice & quality fresh fruit too

Fantastic hotel in the city centre

We had a lovely stay for two nights while visiting relatives in the county. The staff were very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. It might be a good idea for the hotel to add how to find the car park in their information. It is easy to find but for first timers finding bollards across the road before arriving at the hotel is a little confusing. We didn’t eat in the evenings at the hotel but the breakfast choice and quality was excellent.

Great hotel clean and had everything I needed and right in the middle of the city centre close to shops and places to eat. My only disappointment was the car park the hotel suggested was difficult to find and there were some road closures due to maintenance so couldn`t get to that specific car park so didn`t gain from the hotel discount for parking thee and had to park at the opposite shopping centre car park instead

Stayed for a night out after a work meeting onsite. Parking - £10 per night for those staying onsite (£20 otherwise) in the shared hotel car park. Remember to put the registration in the tablet at check in. Check In - quite slow when a queue and 1 person on the desk. Room - room was at the end of the corridor on the 6th floor. Room was large, only thing letting it down was the bed was quite hard. Breakfast - there was plenty of choice for breakfast (cooked, cold meat/cheese, pastries, fruit, toast, pancake machine). The one thing that didn’t work too well, the mugs were too small for the amount of latte that came out of the coffee machine

I stayed at the Novotel Hotel and found it to be in a great location, conveniently close to shopping and restaurants. Overall, my experience was good, but there were a few areas that could be improved. The service was decent, though it could have been more attentive, and I felt the hotel could benefit from offering additional amenities. Housekeeping needed improvement, as the shower gel and shampoo dispensers were not replenished adequately during my stay. Additionally, I was disappointed that my membership benefits could not be applied because I booked through Expedia. Despite these minor issues, the location and overall experience were satisfactory. With a few adjustments, this could be a fantastic place to stay.

Great location, car parking is not onsite which is not made clear when booking. we book a double room but was given a Twin room, rang reception who arranged a double, room lovely clean big warm quite. The hot breakfast was dry and cold very disappointing , checking in & out was good.
