Paddington by Capital

This place needs to be updated, one of the beds is in terrible shape, we could feel the springs, very uncomfortable considering that we stayed for two weeks. The walls are stained in every room, so is the carpet. The unit we booked is an apartment, we expected to have towels and supplies for our entire stay, only two towels per person provided for two people, coffee for one day (2 pods), we had to go shopping for coffee, sugar, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. If you rent an apartment with kitchen, you should have kitchen towels or at least, paper towels. No room service during the entire stay to provide clean towels or anything else you normally get in a long stay. There is a big refrigerator as shown in their photos, which does not work, completely dead and unplugged, they have a tiny fridge on the side by the dining table which we had to guess that it was the one we were supposed to use. Zero instructions for any of the appliances. The bedding was stained and the decorative pillows were dirty and had an unpleasant smell.

WiFi was a little unstable. My bed shared the wall with the front door (apt 3A) so it got slammed a lot. Big boots and children running above me. Great location wonderful flat! Management was most attentive. Bed really comfortable.

Listing shows photos of all flats, however you don’t actually know which flat you are reserving. Some appear nicer that others. The flat we stayed in was in a basement with the view of the alleyway. Voices from people in other flats echoed through the building and alley all night. The bathroom was a closet with the toilet and another closet with the shower and a tiny sink inside the shower. Very disappointing. The room was cold and couldn’t turn on the heat. Pull out sofa bed doesn’t lay flat and was very uncomfortable. I think it’s at least 20 years old. Good location to Paddington Station but I’ll stay somewhere else next time.

Beaten down basement apartment, uneven floor with gaps, very smelly hallway. Unprofessionally finishes, not what you would expect when you rent a place. Stay away from it.

Great little flat with a clothes washer and close to Paddington Station. Perfect for our family of 4. A little noisy some nights from the other flats in the building, but it was ok in the end.

Excellent location, great anmenities, and a wonderful place to stay. Very close to Paddington train station. Lovely area it is in. Safe and quieter than many central areas in London. We had a wonderful family vacation. The kitchen and laundry machine were a huge plus as well.

The property smelled of urine, the doors were falling off the cabinets, and the walls were cracked and caving in the shower. We turned around and left the property to stay at another place. Still waiting for a response from the owner about a refund.

The place is small but has everything you need, including the washing machine. Great location. However the sofa bed is very uncomfortable and not sturdy, it would not stay straight.

The property was not as advertised and upon arrival had not been cleaned well (i.e. dirty floors, freezer completely iced shut, bathroom and corridors smelled like sewage, etc.). Orbitz did contact the management company and they sent someone to deice the freezer, but entered the apartment when we were not there and without coordinating it with us. Overall the stay was expensive and not what usually is provided as an Orbitz stay.

we were unable to use the freezer as it was completely frozen. I have photos as well.

Level of the apartment is not specified at the time of ad and booking and there's no lift andAC not even fan. So we have to find another accomodations. For three nights that we booked in we only stayed one night. Dark hallway and terrible smell up to the top.

Parking was a chore. We stayed two separate times during our two-week trip. 1st-Flat 3A=Was clean but cramped. Washer/Dryer confusing. Overall satisfactory. 2nd-Flat 3B=Unacceptable with regard to bathroom/toilet arrangement. Musty/moldy, dirty, cramped and very inconvenient. this flat should be addressed and be listed for no more that two persons.

Great place to stay in London. Need instructions for the appliances. We couldn’t figure out how to use the washer dryer and stove. Also the mattress on the pull out is very thin. Overall a great stay.

Property was easy to enter with info provided.location was perfect. It was clean and had everything we needed for a family of three. I would note that the shower is pretty snug but the water pressure and temperature were perfect though.

The location of the apartment was very central and worked well. The directions for gaining access to the apartment could have been more clear if it was indicated that the reader where one needed to place your palm and enter in an access code is black and on the upper right side of the door. They allowed early drop-off of our luggage which was very helpful.

This unit was nothing like it looked on the ad. We would never have stayed there. The pictures made it look spacious but it was like a shoe box. There is no way 4 people can stay there comfortably. We had to wait for the tiny hot water heater to heat up before each person could shower. I am sure we did not get the unit we contracted for and we should be compensated for false advertisement.By the way, we had 8 pieces of luggage and had to carry them up 60 circular type steps. We have never stayed in a place like this and would have left if we another option.

Location is great for getting about London. Apartment is very spacious, with a small balcony. Balcony could do with an additional chair & the apartment could do with a little maintenance. Shelves very loose on livingroom wall, floor lamp very unsteady in bedroom, shower caddy loose. All in all we still had a great stay. A toaster would have been useful and additional info re main door entry. We arrived in the dark & didn't notice there were 2 x door entry systems as the one needed was black and not illuminated and the one which wasn't the correct one was laminated. We hang about for 20 mins until another guest arrived who noted they had the same problem when they arrived too.

We had a wonderful stay however the WiFi is very poor. It’s off and on every few minutes. I had to email to get the directions to get in. The instructions need to be clear. We were outside when 4 young women came and they couldn’t get in either. I had to call for clarification!
