Went here on a pool tour and the bar service was pathetic when you have like 400 plus people playing pool but only 1 or 2 bar staff plus the rooms are tiny at best with only a microwave to cook with an no light in the kitchen which is the size of a toilet. The floor had clearly not been cleaned so all in all not great. 2/10

Inhumane experience. Checked in, went to room to notice windows were open - shut windows as room was cold. Noticed an odd smell in bathroom but had to pop out for few hours. Came back to a room with a strong scent of sewage. Air was heavy. Couldn’t breathe properly. Huge health hazard that the team were aware of as they left the window open. Was late so had to change room as I could not go to another hotel. New room has dead insects, hair on bed and bathroom. Toothpaste on sink from previous customer. Checked out the following day (had to bear the night). Customer service has been inhumane. Treated like a robot. Still trying to get my refund. Mind felt degraded as soon as I entered this site. Hygiene authorities should visit.

Did a long weekend here on themed evenings of Motown music. Entertainment was excellent but bluecoat staff needed more training. Bar staff were great and worked hard. The guests were all great and friendly and never known so many sing along and dance. Food was very basic, it was self service, dishes were not very well labelled to identify what they were and any allergy info. They weren’t very enthusiast to help if you asked them for anything or asked any questions. Rooms were just about liveable, for the money we paid. They have a laundry on site if you are staying for a week. I didn’t use the pool but saw inside and it had a flume. We took a slide walk to Lowestoft it’s around a 12km round trip. There is a bus stop opposite the campsite entrance. We went to Norwich on one of the days. Just be careful on a Sunday as last bus back from Lowestoft is very early. I believe it is closing the end of the year. So nothing is being repaired or deep cleaned. A short walk and there is a small retail park.

Just been on a GN Holidays run weekend. They hire the place from Pontins and then sell the rooms at almost double the price of a normal pontins weekend. The entertainment is far superior to anything Pontins put on, but that's where it ends, unfortunately. The food is still the same old inedible, gruel, it usually is. The rooms are well past their sell by date, with little or no crockery for tea/coffee making. The bathrooms are dirty and mouldy and paint is peeling from most doorframes, the doorframes that have no doors in them. The bars are understaffed with 50 metre queues most of the night. The bar staff, although friendly, were all overworked and you could tell they were stressed. The half price drinks offer, sounds good until you see the smallprint. It's not on anything decent, just tetleys/carlsberg, house spirits and nasty house wine. If this is the standard of camp GN holidays are happy to charge double for, I'm glad Pakefield Pontins is closing to the public. I'd rather of paid more and had edible food and a comfy bed.

My Mum and I had been looking forward for so long to go back to Pontins Pakefiled for a Turkey and Tinsel week away. My Mum paid for a double and single room but when we entered the room only the double was made up. I went to Reception to be informed we should have paid an extra £15 to have single made up! I was then told I could go to the laundry room at 4:45 to collect bedding and make it myself for the same price! Lol! We've been going every year for the last 8 years as it was somewhere to take my son ...which he loved. I couldn't take him this year so arranged for his dad to take time off of work and lose a week's wages. After experiencing the freezing cold food on the first evening I packed up the car ready to leave the next morning. My Mum contacted Pontins with our displeasure and asked for a full refund. They have not replied 2 days later! My advice, even through they are closing the beginning of next year is do not go! The bed was awful. It was like sleeping on the floor and we couldn't wait to get back home quick enough...never mind possible food poisoning as plates are freezing and so is the food! Disgusting Pontins!
