Fabulous hotel, great food, friendly staff.

Great hotel and location, I have stayed at this hotel many times.

Nice hotel, good breakfast. Service was slow, especially in bar, where they seemed short staffed - one guy doing drinks and room service. Positioning of the bed in room 108, was not great, one of the posts of the four poster is too close to bathroom door , if you open it from wrong angle you trap your hand, I did this and snapped my bracelet- not happy!

Had a lovely stay - hotel was fab although a bit tired in places ! Staff very helpful and friendly, breakfasts delicious ! Would definitely stay again!

Even though I only stayed the one night I could not fault the service or any of the staff from the reception to the waiting staff and the evening bar person Excellent I will definitely be going back Thank you Ron From Cheshire

Staff were super friendly and they we very kind. Food, location and,atmosphere was wonderful.

Generally it was excellent. The only complaint was the lack of hot enough water for a bath. Also the shower was just warm enough for me so I would prefer to have hotter water. Everything else was excellent

The hotel was in a great position for the town and car parking was a bonus. The room was large and well appointed. We stayed to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the complimentary bottle of wine was a lovely and much appreciated touch. Breakfast was excellent and all of the members of staff were very friendly and helpful. A great stay and can definitely recommend.

Hotel and staff were excellent, my husband was unwell so we left early which was out choice. Your receptionist on Sunday morning was very helpful when we checked out and asked if there was anything she could do for my husband which was very nice of her, but he just wanted to get home as he was feeling poorly

Pros - - Lovely looking hotel, cosy and comfortable - Great location, parks around, Montpellier street and access to the Promenade with shops, food, main Cheltenham spots easy to reach by walking - All staff were very welcoming, helpful and accommodating even when things went wrong - good service - moved me to a more comfortable room on arrival - came to help when TV wasn’t working etc. - kindly apologetic when my room phone wasn’t working - Gluten free food options in dining - enjoyed breakfast and dinner - Lovely looking comfortable restaurant and cosy bar Cons - - Needed water at night and phone would not connect to reception or room service - had to walk down myself to get a bottle - Only Freeview - no Smart TV / Streaming - Would have liked more food options for vegetarian and gluten free (only 1 main, starter and dessert currently) - perhaps more varieties of bread / pastries - although that said atleast the basics are there (which is still not the case in many hotels!) - 1 bread and 1 cereal No - Room service appeared to have an additional £7.50 charge per tray which I’ve never seen before and put me off ordering anything to my room - Would have loved to see a spa / gym

Beautiful historic hotel in the centre of Cheltenham within easy walking distance of everything central

The hotel has a wonderful aspect and location in town. Internally, it lived up to expectations. Food was good, staff helpful and pleasant and the room comfortable and quiet.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were excellent and the location is very accessible.
