What we thought was cheap & cheerful would be an improvement on this place. Would have felt safer and had more amenities if we had a tent on the beach. In 2 of the rooms there was no hot water, and only one tap working. In the 3rd room, it wasn’t much better. No fire extinguishers visible in the whole building. Gaps around the doors. Light switch hanging from the ceiling. The litter was all left at the bottom of the stairs by the cleaners. Disgusting! This place should be closed.

This death trap is disgusting dirty and damp. Wasn't the hotel I booked for but on the day I was to pick the keys up received a text to say come to the blue sea office. That night got there looked like a second hand furniture shop . The guy said was a problem with the hotel via my booking online as it had put us down for bunk beds he soon changed them n stated there was a double and single in there. The place was ment to stay in was maryport marras which seemed ok by there pics to which we now know were taken years ago. The front door was stiff and took a good 5 mins get into the building. We were presented with singing which we found amusing the window in the room was open to get rid of the damp smell. No ammenities at all. There was a floor heater bolted to the wall above the radiator which seemed bizarre but due to the heating not being on my partner tried to plug the heater in to our amazement we realised it was dodgy when it took the power out over the whole floor. The weekend didn't get any better apart from when we left. The next morning we realised no hot water in the whole place only cold. 1 toilet n shower that 8rooms had to share...... The woman who was the so called manager had an attitude problem n tried intimidate another couple as on the Saturday they managed to trip the electric using their hairdryer so we were moved rooms they tried put us with more bunk beds we said no n got a room that was well tiny and dirty. Massive cracks in the wall that looks like subsidence . Help me was written on the windows that hadnt been cleaned off the window in years. Staff were contacted about This and nothing was done about it. Absolutely disgusted in the whole experience

We stayed in room 8 right on the very top floor. The hot water tap was broken. So no hot water. The shower had not holder. So it hung down. You had to hold it to use it. No kettle or tea & coffee as expected. No tv on the tv stand. The fire door had a big gap at the bottom. Which is fire hazard & dangerous. Thankfully we only stayed for 4. unbearable nights. This place should be closed down for a full refurbishment. I do not recommend this place. & will never stay here again even if it is free. Absolutely awful. Be warned. I have booked a. luxury holiday flat for our stay in August.

A friend booked this hotel in October for a one night stay. The pictures which were taken about 60 years ago looked decent but when we arrived I could not believe what I had walked in to. The room which we were allocated was absolutely disgusting. There was a sink with just cold water. The window was rotting and mouldy, the roof was falling down which fell on to the unwashed bed sheets. There was mound all over the bed. The carpet was supposed to be green but it was jet black. I literally had to get changed on a carry bag and head straight out. I headed straight to the office where the keys are collected and raised my concerns with the manger. His exact words were “your in Blackpool love what do you expect”. I explained that it was just not possible that I could stay in that bed, it was covered in mould and the room was damp and cold. The manger said he didnt know what I taking about and he would have to get someone to go and investigate. A cleaner who lived in the property showed up at the office and took me back to the hotel to exsamine the room. She agreed and said that it was not the best of rooms and apologised for the inconvience. We walked back to the office and the manger agreed to give me a refund so we could book somewhere else. This was in OCTOBER. I have sent emails and called and no one has answered my “complaint”. There has been no refund, yes it may have only been a small amount but that isn’t the point. The manger is very unprofessional, he rips people off and his hotel is discussing just like his attitude. I have sent an email again asking for a reply along with my refund. This place should be closed down, thank goodness I didn’t catch anything serious. Directley across the road there is a beautiful hotel I forget the name but the building was either pink or red. The manger was excellent, he offered us a room with breakfast. The room was amazing. Better that this poor excuse of a hotel!!!!!!! Stay clear guys, major health hazard!!!!!!!!

Shame there isnt an option for minus stars because this is disgusting and the pictures on line DO NOT reflect on what you actually get. Im confused as to how people can comment on there being staff when its unmanned and no one there. We had to collect key from another hotel, the rooms were filthy, dirty stained bedding, squashed flies up the wall and stains on the radiators oh and no lighbulbs in the lights apart from 1 light. A shared bathroom which was absolutely disgusting with piss all over the floor. A homeless hostel would have better standards! This place needs closing down !
