A lovely character hotel in a beautiful setting. Excellent food and service too boot, would definitely return should I need to stay over in that area.

We’ve stayed here several times as a stop off on our way north using the M6. It’s always welcoming, comfortable and usually quiet (just once there was a wedding there but it didn’t interfere with our stay). The individually ordered breakfast is the best we’ve come across. The evening meal offers variety and nothing is too much trouble. The gardens provide a lovely walk and photo opportunities.

Stayed (for second time) overnight, with family joining us for evening meal. Staff could not have been more helpful, a 'can do' attitude made us all feel very welcome.

Scenery was lovely, bathroom modern and clean with great shower. Nice patio area as well and liked the christmas tree in reception. Staff pleasant and friendly. Breakfast cereal museli was very nice and also vegan options available.

Lovely old style hotel & would over to visit when weathers better. Has lots of character & charm. Staff great helpful & friendly. We had dinner there which was presented well very tasty & enough choice to suit all tastes but not overwhelming. Prices are good too for this style of hotel.

It was our second stay here and it was great. Typical independant country house style hotel in that it has lovely authentic decor and styling, great service, plenty of free parking, nice countryside views, and breakfast included.

We booked a Luxury Suite which was very spacious with it’s own dressing area.
The hotel is very grande and the reception room on the main floor was very relaxing for a coffee and cake.
Wish we had more time to explore the hotel grounds.

Excellent 1 night stay. Felt very welcome on arrival and had check-in online. The receptionist was very pleasant and informative. Room was very comfortable with lovely bed linen and towels and nice amenities. Fabulous breakfast. We really enjoyed our brief stay.

Really nice place. Stayed in the "Bluebell" room. Was disappointed to see the condition of the paintwork surrounding the light fitting by the wardrobe; doesn't scream "4 star hotel". Also, I was a little disappointed that there were so few channels available on the TV. Other than that, I was impressed.

Beautiful stunning settung & building but feel needs some money spending on rooms to bring them up to date.

Lovely family-run friendly hotel. Spotlessly clean and always welcoming and helpful staff. I arrived late and tired and immediately felt relaxed. Great choice at breakfast. Enough free parking. Walkable to the village and a lovely National Trust countryside. Two easy to follow walk routes available at reception. Set in a beautiful garden and grounds, on a hill so great views. The room was very comfortable and had everything you would need.

Our room was small but cute. We had everything we needed & the bed was super comfy. Staff were lovely & helpful. My only issue ( & it’s a small one) is I ordered scrambled eggs for breakfast but what I got was like a cut up omelette. Would stay again!
