Great location

For my first time in London we had a wonderful experience at the Wellington hotel. I normally don’t write reviews but there are some very respectable gentleman at this hotel that made it exceptional and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! From the gentleman who greeted us and checked us in as well as the manager I chatted with a bit. Chef David cooked us a wonderful English breakfast and even Archie the hotel dog was great company that sat by me when I had my breakfast and tea . It was a great stay in the middle of London we were able to walk and see a lot of wonderful things. It was just what we needed for staying only one night. There were some stairs we had to climb to get to our room but we were very comfortable in our room. If we ever get the pleasure of coming to London again we will probably stay here again!

The Wellington Hotel is situated very close to Waterloo station. The area is bustling, with a lot of restaurants, takeaways etc. The hotel is above the bar. I was happy with my stay, and especially appreciated the nice, warm room, big windows and free mini bar. However, if you have mobility issues or large suitcases, please note that the pub is an old building and the rooms are up flights of narrow stairs with no lifts. Also, although the windows have secondary glazing, sound from the street does float up (and the Wellington is a busy pub, too) so I'd recommend bringing earplugs. The bathroom had a big shower and lots of toiletries, there was a desk and safe, plus the fridge with a couple of bottles of beer and a soft drink, plus bottles of water. The blinds were very effective. Breakfast was good with a decent buffet and you can make an additional choice of a hot breakfast from the menu. Service was friendly and chatty. Easy check in and check out.

Convenient for transportation. Area looked sketchy. There was no reception just specific to the hotel - had to speak to someone at the bar. No elevators. We were on the third floor. The room itself was pleasant, big, and clean. Overall, good experience. But unsure if I will book again.

Ideal location. Room was good for 3 people. Would not recommend for old people and kids as there are a lot of stairs.

Lovely pub, great location & value for money & good breakfast.

A very short time in the hotel as we were out all day. The staff were extremely helpful allowing us to drop bags on arrival. This hotel is in a brilliant location for sightseeing but being right next to waterloo station it was very noisy with every train!! The rooms are above a lovely pub but this was not a problem with noise that i thought may be an issue..... the staff we brilliant thank you kim

It was a good hotel for the price. Rooms were small, and without air conditioning, it was sweltering and fans weren't much help. Being above the pub sounded like a good idea at the time but when trying to sleep on the street side , much less desirable. Friendly staff and the food in the pub was delicious

Was given the wrong room despite having called ahead. Small room bathroom needs updating. Noisy area

Great place for our one night stop. clean and comfortable. Great breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Check in easy - just go into the pub where the small reception desk is.

Near / under Waterloo station very noisy.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. But stairways were steep and narrow. Being on 3rd floor with no elevator was hard on us with bad knees and COPD. Would use again next time in area but would request a lower room
