The roomwas very small. Access to the pool area was via a footwell which was approx 15cm deep. Impossibe for a wheelchair user and difficult for everyone else.

- the pool tiles looked dirty, so was the pool water; the hotel was too quiet, some soft music can be played in the background at breakfast or drinks time or at the pool.

After a late 1.30am arrival, my wife and I were welcomed and quickly checked in by the friendly and efficient reception team. The Matisse is perfectly located within easy walking distance to the beach as well as a great selection of restaurants, bars and shops. We were especially impressed by the daily aperitif hour where complimentary wine and snacks were served, a lovely touch.

Great small boutique hotel in a great area full of dinning options and shops.
The family room was huge and very well kept.
I went to St Tropez that was actually like 15 minutes away. If you are going for few days I would recommend this hotel. Price was great vs actual place.

The hotel is very nice and the staff are very attentive. The hotel and the rooms are very clean. The only problem was our mattress was so very old and completely broken with a few springs broken. It was survivable for 2 nights but desperately needs replacing!

Really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Matisse. Very centrally located to the centre of Sainte Maxime. The hotel is less than a 2min walk to restaurants and shops. The room was a nice size as was the bathroom. Very clean and beach-like colors. Breakfast buffet was simple but nice. Loved sitting on the outdoor patio with the complimentary evening wine & snacks. Reception staff was friendly. Didn’t use pool because it required walking thru backed up water that was only drained at 10-11pm. This was truly my only complaint. Everything else was perfect. Will definitely stay there again

Have never had great experience of UK Best Western's when travelling for work so I usually avoid but had researched Hotel Matisse on hotels.com ahead of my trip.
By the time I arrived in Sainte-Maxime I could not get my data or any city WiFi signal so I approached Hotel Matisse and asked to buy a coffee and use their WiFi whilst I sorted accommodation. The staff were so very kind and so very helpful I decided to book and had a wonderful experience. Exceptionally clean, bathrobe, slippers, coffee machine, cold water, fridge, toiletries and other useful items. Good indoor/outdoor seating areas. Excellent range of breakfast items.
I plan other trips to Sainte-Maxime later this year and would look to stay at Hotel Matisse again.
So very handy for the city/shops/beach and boat trips/buses to St Tropez.

This was a great little hotel close to shops and restaurants in Saint Maxime and a short drive to Saint Tropez. The woman at the front desk was so friendly and helpful- spoke English, German and French (all the languages in our group!). The breakfast was amazing. Rooms are small but very clean, comfortable. Parking across the street.

We chose this hotel blindly after a terrible experience in Arles. We picked a winner. The lobby and room were lovely. It’s a two minute walk to a fun beach. The breakfast was good. It’s right in the middle of the action but it was quiet enough to sleep. Two minute walk to the ferry to St Tropez. I’d hype Sainte Maxime and this hotel to anyone.

I booked last minute and got a good room with lots of room and very clean and comfy bed. The front desk made things so much easier for me because I had a car and the staff took the time to explain where to park for free. It was easy and the staff makes this hotel a 4 star hotel!
