Friendly staff. Nicely appointed and quiet rooms with comfy beds and lovely amenities

They did not recognize Expedia gold member benefit and did not provide food/beverage credit.

Hotel Bristol was an easy stopover location wit easy access to the train station and downtown Avignon.

Excellent location and excellent staffs. Excellent breakfast. The coffee maker in our room doesn’t work well. Water leaking. Also our room safety box doesn’t work.

The room was great, good size and very neat. We stayed for only a day but it was perfect for what we needed. The staff was friendly as well. The only thing was as soon as we stepped into the room there was a very prominent sewage odor that we couldn’t find the source of. We left the window open and the smell never went away.

Excellent all the way around. Comfortable beds, very nice bathroom. Breakfast was good. Very friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again.

Foul smelling shower drain, disinterested staff. Did not receive any upgrades, or 10 euro credit.

Had a great time at Bristol hotel. Check in was quick & easy. Staff speak English well. Great location

The hotel is situated nearimportant tourist sights and close to many good restaurants. The rooms are fine as is the breakfast buffet. However, the information shown on Expedia indicates laundry service is available; it is not. The hotel’s internal info in the room indicates laundry that rooms have an in room safe. My room did not. The real problem though was not the lack of these services but the attitude of one receptionist when I asked about them. I don’t know whether she doesn’t like North American tourists, solo travellers or old people, such as myself who ask about the missing services. She started when I mentioned the difficulty of finding a cab at the TGV station. She said I should have used the tram or bus. When I asked about laundry service as I needed to wash clothes she said there was none and what did I expect her to do about it. She said I should go to a laundromat and wash my own clothes. I went to my room but was so annoyed that I returned to reception where she had finished her shift. I very nice employee did some investigation and found a nearby laundry where you could leave laundry and pick it up the next day. He also upgraded my room. Unfortunately the following morning I discovered the room had no in room safe and went to reception to enquire. The same woman was back and said that wasn’t her problem and she refused to discuss it. She gave the impression that questions weren’t welcome. I wont return. Her offensive abusive manner outweighs the good features.

The property itself was reasonable. Great area. The staff were prompt and courteous. The issue I had was with the room. The plumbing to be precise. The odours from the bathroom were almost overwhelming. It was as if none of the fixtures had traps allowing sewer gasses into the room. It was mentioned to staff and they suggested a “spray”. I’m not sure if all rooms had this problem I was only there for two nights and endured the stench. Another room was offered but I was already ensconced and leaving early next morning. Should you be offered room # 2 on the main floor inspect the bathroom first.

Nice hotel close to town center. Some sketchy areas. No worse than Chicago west loop area.

Stayed here twice, room 7 was ok noisy air conditioning unit. However it was the shower facilities that was very disappointing, the whole of the bathroom would be soaked in water. Meaning I had to put shoes/flipflops on to brush tears or use toilet after.

Lovely style, and the room was a good size. Location great. The plate of pastries in reception through the day was a nice touch

Close to the station for those coming by TGV, and very stylish behind a rather uninspiring frontage. The public spaces are very nicely decorated, and breakfast is excellent. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need. A sign indicated that there is some upgrading work going on. Our room did suffer a little from what other reviews have mentioned - the shower screen only covers half of the tray, so water does tend to splash onto the bathroom floor. In spite of being at the station end of the town, it’s only a short walk to the main sites. A hop on hop off bus runs from almost outside the front door.

A beautiful hotel, a treat to stay in. Great location and very comfortable. Very good breakfast and staff helpful. Parking tricky with top box but they found a solution.

I was excited to stay here as I love art deco and the decor in images are stunning. The room is mediocre not a 4 star in my view. The worst part the bathroom smelled like sewage (it was foul) and the hallways like cleaning products.

Very poorly built room, bathroom was astonishingly poorly designed with the shower having to clear partition from the rest of the bathroom causing the entire bathroom to flood including sink and toilet areas. Breakfast was subpar with hard pain au chocolate and overall mediocre food quality and preparation. night staff made my wife quite uncomfortable with poor communication, bizarre looks and ways of interacting. If there are other options available I would strongly avoid this establishment.

Mauvaise odeur et toilette qui ne fonctionne pas dans la chambre qui ne correspond pas à la description et encore moins aux photos du site hotels.com. Le statut gold/vip n’a pas été satisfait, pas de surclassement (chambre médiocre) pas de bon d’achat… Petit déjeuner digne d’un hôtel moyen. Avec tout ça je ne comprends pas que ça soit un 4 étoiles.
