Brit Hotel Martigues Nord

Although there were some lovely posters of modern film stars, the hotel is a very utilitarian building with no character. We asked for a quiet room, and were moved from a room adjacent to the lift to a room midway down a corridor, much better, as no one else seemed to be on the third floor. Unfortunately, the air conditioning sounded like the Ferrari wind tunnel, and only blew out hot air. the room was stiflingly hot and there was no way to cool it down. It was eleven o clock before we discovered this and awe were too tired to pack all of our stuff back up and ask for another room. The bathroom was small, but adequate. the breakfast was mediocre.

Really happy with this stay. Comfortable clean and friendly. Nice pool. Easy to find and park. Perfect for our road trip across France.

Good check in experience and friendly receptionist who seemed to be on the front desk every time we went past! Room was well appointed, although a little compact. The bed was comfortable and the whole hotel was well maintained and clean, although the pool area appeared quite neglected. Also some of the photos in the listing are not representative of the hotel or local area. Very limited dining options in walking distance of the hotel, but they have a notice board with details of the nearby restaurants. We made the mistake of walking the 1.5km to a steak restaurant close by, as the two buffet restaurants next to the hotel didn’t look appealing. However we had to walk along a main road without a pavement, so I would recommend taking the car or bus. We also recommend the cocktail bar opposite the hotel which was a lovely venue. The second night we took the bus into Martigues which was convenient with the stop right outside the hotel and only cost EURO 1 each way. We had to take a taxi back as the last bus back was around 8pm. Martigues town is beautiful, as are the beaches further to the south. Overall would recommend the hotel for price and convenience.

Nice clean and safe area. Staff is helpful and friendly! Need a good restaurant in the area to walk to but very nice area and hotel to relax and catch up on sleep while traveling!

This hotel was excellent, the room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were polite and friendly. Exactly what I was looking for as a base for a few days. My stay was in May, so not the height of the summer, however, still warm. The AC in the room didn’t cool it down and was not effective at keeping the room comfortable. This was not a problem as the window opened and the evenings were much cooler. My main concern is the new bar / club that has opened right across the road. The music was not too loud but the noise of the drunken patrons was. This woke us up with young ladies shouting and singing and even a male driver being assaulted and punched through his open window by another group of men. The worst night was my last night, when I was faced with an early start for the drive back to the U.K. it was such a shame. This is not the fault of the hotel, but i feel it will impact on their reviews.

Staff were great. Location was great if you have a car. Quiet hotel on the weekebd

Très bel hôtel personnel agréable 3 petits bémols pour moi : - les rideaux de la chambre ne sont pas occultants. - Vue sur le parking avec un bar à côté un peu trop de bruits le soir. - les œufs brouillés au petit déjeuner étaient froids

Points positifs : hôtel récent, parking sécurisé et pratique, courtoisie et professionnalisme de la jeune dame lors de l’enregistrement, chambre propre et spacieuse pour 2, literie confortable, salle de bains fonctionnelle, rangements nombreux, TV et connectivité Internet bonnes, bouilloire et préparations pour boissons appréciables, climatisation opérationnelle, coffre-fort appréciable. Points à améliorer : insonorisation des chambres à revoir, 2 oreillers foncièrement mous (qui, bien que superposés, n’en font pas un de dur), rideaux très peu occultants (donc inadaptés si grasse matinée en vacances), absence de porte-savons dans la douche (où poser les savons de ce fait ?). 10/10 car les points à améliorer ne sont pas rédhibitoires non plus.

Accueil chaleureux, personnel agréable, compétant et disponible, chambre propre. Rien à redire, je conseille et y retournerai sans hésitation.

Très bon séjour pro, chambre propre à l'arrivée et ménage bien réalisé pour le second jour. Bouteille d'eau et café disponible en chambre. Petit déjeuner très correct. Personnel à l'accueil très gentil. Hôtel très recommandable, on y dort très bien. Autour c'est une zone commerciale avec un magasin d'alimentation à deux minutes à pied. Parking très bien pour se garer même avec un grand utilitaire, c'est vraiment vaste. Une ou deux bornes pour les voitures avec des piles électriques.

Très bon hôtel, chambre propre et confortable, personnels accueillants. Point faible lumière du jour car pas de volets et manque d’entretien à la piscine qui est non chauffée.

Séjour dans l’ensemble convenable Le point négatif était que la chambre n’était pas prête nous avons dû attendre et une femme de ménage qui nous faisait comprendre que nous la dérangions en même temps le hall d’attente étant étroit et les chaleurs insupportables nous n’allions pas attendre avec des enfants en bas âges sur le parking … amabilité de certaines personnes à revoir… Le deuxième point négatif n’est pas dû à l’établissement mais au client peu respectueux des enfants qui se sont mis à fumer sans gêne juste à côté
