Hotel Arvor

It was very central that was a big advantage.

Hotel Arvor is incredibly well located in the city if Dinan. Finding it, however, can be a bit tricky. The staff is wonderful. The rooms are not as upscale as one would hope, but they were clean. The bed was well used; a little too well used. But staying within the walls of a former convent, close to the magical city center itself was incredible. Overnight parking is nearby in a city-owned lot. There is at lease a one-star Michelin restaurant nearby; maybe two!

From the moment we checked-in, the hotel staff were polite and helpful. The room was perfect - comfortable, bathroom spotless with plenty of hot water, and the temperature just right. Parking was easy as the property has parking available. The Hotel Arvor is in the thick of it. Easy access to all walkable streets and amazing restaurants. I definitely recommend staying here while in Dinan.

The whole experience with Hotel Arvor was wonderful. The hotel is charming and the location is amazing and the staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived in our room and opened the window to see a lovely view of the beautiful buildings and could hear the sound of singing from the street it was a magical time.

Beautiful historic building in the heart of Dinan. Helpful and friendly staff

This charming hotel is right in the heart of the quintessential French village of Dinan. Paid parking is nearby or if you contact the hotel ahead of time (which I was unaware of) can slot you in for on-site paid parking. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we found the room to be clean and spacious. This is extremely good value.

What a delightful city to walk and see the neat city. The hotel was great for the location, close to great restaurants and the staff was very nice and helpful. We were only there for 1 night but were very happy we made the stop.

Worth calling ahead to reserve one of the few limited parking places as the hotel is secure and in a wonderful central location. Breakfast was full continental with some great local preserves and really fresh bread and croissants.

The location was great. The reception staff were friendly and informative. Parking in their private lot was convenient. The room was fine for the price. The town of Dinan is wonderful.

Easy access to the town - you are in the middle of it. Wonderful old buildings wonderfully preserved. The hotel is super clean and modern inside and ancient looking on the outside. Just fantastic!!!!

GREAT location,which can't be beat. The hotel is right the center of the medieval town of Dinan. But take note! 1. Parking in the hotel lot fills quickly and make sure that you get VERY clear instructions not only about parking but also how to get to the hotel itself. Since it is in a high pedestrian district I was blocked from entering and only when I called for the 3rd time did I get instructions to lift the chain that blocks the road. Lots of one way streets! 2. Other things: I would ask to stay in upper rooms facing Room de Pavie, or the suite on the area above reception. Room 18 on the 1st floor above reception was dark and run down. Other issues. To conserve on electricity the lights in the hallways turn off after a minute or two and you are plunged into darkness so I was caught a few times in a dark hallway trying to open the door. Also, the only outlet for charging anything was under the desk. No outlets near bed, towels were worn out, but bathroom clean although very small. NO Air conditioning, but they were nice to provide a fan Two female staff members at desk were really wonderful as well as gentleman who greeted me at breakfast. Older man at desk (owner?) seemed always too busy to greet me and never said good bye either! Had I been given a different room, and more instructions given about parking and the hallway lights it would have been a great stay . I would still recommend as long as you are aware of the above.

It is beautifully situated, the rooms are very clean and well laid out, the beds are soooo comfortable. Best of all, the hotel staff is extremely kind and helpful and wonderful with directions. Old Town Dinan is literally at your feet when you walk out the door.
